Had you told me Cleveland would be buying and the Pats selling - I'd have called you nuts.

Wow, that's really strange. I know they had just traded for the LB from the Lions but Collins has been very solid for them.

Probably out of desperation now that a winless season is looking increasingly likely.

Although, I think they got the better end of the deal anyway.

Belichick doesn't F around. Always has one eye on the future and it's part of the reason they're the dynasty they are.

I see Haden is on the block let's grab him just for fun! I'm sure someone will be injured again soon with our luck

More on the deal, sounds like Collins was starting to not care and being difficult in negotiations. That's a one way ticket out of Belichek's locker room. And he doesn't freak around, "oh you want to hardball us? TO CLEVELAND WITH YOU!!!!! Have fun with that when you're watching us in the Super Bowl."

That explains it. Collins was a complete stud, sideline to sideline linebacker for the Pats and announcers always pointed out how great a find he was.

Cleveland may have over paid on this one. What's the chances Collins resigns with them down the road?

Might as well trade away the rest of our draft picks , it would save us all a lot of stress next April. Seriously though I would love to get Joe Thomas , not so much Haden because I think we will be ok with Tru, Gaines and Joyner.

Beli-cheat wasn't going to be willing to pay him what he's worth on the open market for some reason.

The browns will pay him.

You have to look at the $$$$$ numbers, age, free agent or years remaining on contract. At this point O Line and WR would be needs. It's a slippery slope but, Rams have to do their due diligence. Maybe that's why we haven't heard much from Les Snead lately.
