Sadly, Tommy McDonald, who played for the Rams for two seasons in the mid-sixties died today. He also played for the Eagles, Dallas, Falcons and Browns. He was drafted by the Eagles and was instrumental in their NFL championship season in 1960 and caught a TD pass from former Ram QB Norm Van Brocklin. He played his college ball for Bud Wilkinson's Oklahoma Sooners.

Mighty mite who was the Rams leading receiver for a couple years. Speedy with a flair for acrobatic catches. He and Roman Gabriel appeared on a SI cover together.

This is the guy that the main character in Invincible remembered from the 1960 NFL Championship, as being a memory that kept them going all those years later. They have the recent Super Bowl now to remember in Philly, so Tommy McDonald will fade into memory in that town, I believe...
