At this moment Natson, Demby, and Evans appear to be safe.

Natson is safe until Webster can prove he is capable of returning punts. He is not as bad as many make him out to be. In fact, he is better than average returner. He has a 72% return rate and a top 7-8 average return.

Demby seems to be a favorite of Kromer. He was the low man on the totem pole so to speak before the Coleman signing.

Evans will be given time.

Reeder appears to be the low man on the totem pole at ILBer.

Players have to be prepared for the worst this time of year. Snead is always trying to improve the roster. There could still be a move or two made soon. If not Rams have to rock with what they got.

Blows my mind that we cannot find returners on the current roster outside JJ Nat.

Pharaoh Cooper is available.

To me, to be able to get your returners from within the position groups is a strength. Therefore it’s a weakness now, basically eating up a roster spot from someone who could contribute elsewhere.

Something that McVay said during one of his pressers is IMO why Jojo is still on the roster. I think it's obvious that Webster will be the primary returner this year. Given that I think Jojo will be one of the 7 that is a game-day inactive. But every team needs a backup return specialist. I have always thought that Scott would handle that role. In fact, I see no reason for him not to be the primary return specialist. Regardless having a 2nd or even 3rd isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also, as we found out last year, injuries happen and bringing in players from the street or PS means they need to make room on the active roster. Jojo will be that season-long bubble sitter.

Blythe doesn't have the physical makeup to be a center in the NFL. He's got a limited play radius, his frame obviously limits the amount of bulk and muscle mass he can carry. He has always struggled to play with leverage. His technique remains poor even at RG. He's the last guy I'd want starting at center. Funny how the Demby critics are quick to highlight his gaffs but say nothing about Blythe's actual game blown blocks, or his simply being tossed aside by DT's. Believe me, if Demby struggles in relief at OG I will be more than quick to point it out. But until he does I will reserve judgment. Blythe on the other hand struggled with the Colts and it got him released. He's struggled with the Rams and he's still here. Go figure, I just don't think a championship team can accept that from a starter.

Try Nsimba Webster he was a returner in college and took his turns in the return game along with Natson in the preseason and accounted for himself quite nicely.

Is Neary going to be able to come back this year?
If so there are several options, Natson, Reeder among others.
If the question was about Aaron Neary's current status & not about the time table on his fractured ankle then he is not on the Injured Reserve just on NFL Suspension. I would bet he will be back on the roster wk#5.

Aaron Neary return would be at the same time the SUP is concluded after wk 4. The Rams must be ready to cut a player from the 53 player roster. How healthy would that fracture ankle be is a big unknown but if it was only a small hairline fracture then he should be well on the road to full health by week 5 but most likely not a 46 dressed candidate the following week.

Prototype old fashion MLB Troy Reeder is on the roster for a big reason, Natson not so much.

I would say that Demby is probably safe - OL depth isn't great.

Natson seems like an obvious cut here at some point - all dude does is return punts, and if he's not a threat to take them all the way, what's he really bringing? Not ball security.

Reeder is another guy who probably shouldn't celebrate just yet - any addition at ILB would see him cut.
