Based on this most of the other teams in the hunt seem overall to have an easier block of games. Seattle& Cincy will be big same with us and Dallas.

I’m in a minority in that I don’t worry about what other teams do, as it’s beyond our control.

All we can do is win our games and see where it takes us.

Until the Rams fix the Second half scoring drought and are able to get to the QB more often, I’m not counting any wins before the games are played.

Arizona should be an opportunity to find success in both areas. Remember that a lot of teams have looked good in losses but missed the playoffs.

All of the games between now and the bye week are winnable. There isn't a team that we can't match up with. They have to learn how to close out games. That comes with experience. I think they way they play their front 7 then Mathis is a good fit for DE. They only need to lock down the WIL and play their best CBs, i.e. Witherspoon, Ojemudia and Shelley. That's actually a good starting trio for a base nickel. They should also start Yeast and Lake since they will be counted on to be the starters going forward. That will give them good speed across the board in the secondary with experience at CB. Witherspoon is playing his career best, we need to see if Ojemudia and Shelley can do likewise. I'm sure Shelley is the real deal. Ojemudia offers experience and athleticism Kendrick doesn't have.

It really looks like Young will be a beast next year. He needs work on this technique but the potential is very clear. The same with Turner, he's not a two gap 0T but he could be another Gaines type 1T. With Brown and Murchison out they really need to play one gap penetration style DL. Move Hoecht back to rotation with AD. Jonah Williams has the speed and size you would want at WIL to play contain and set an edge.

This is when the Rams need to begin their run for the playoffs.

I’m going to look at the first 5 games as quarter one of the season. I’d say the Rams are ahead of schedule with knowing what they have and what they don’t have. They are also ahead of schedule in getting their young talent (Avila, Nacua, Young, Evans). integrated into the game. They’ve also done a nice job of picking up some solid vet talent (DRobinson, Witherspoon, Dotson, etc). While early it’s obvious they will need improvements next year at Edge, ILB, CB and OT. Perhaps K and TB as well. Other than losing a very winnable game @Bengsls a decent start. Just keep developing the young guys and improving the run game and pass defense.

Even if the rams score 20-30 points in the First half in each of these games, thats more than what half of them can do in a game( Looking at you (Giants/Pats)! What they need to do in the 2nd half is not go 3-out and manage the clock, so DEF is not out there 90% of the time.
Going full Length of the field each OFF drive dont help neither. Let someone return the ball if they can on Kick/punts. DEF needs some picks or something instead of letting a team score in 20 secs. Maher is solid at best at K. Hes not bad tho. Most of Maher's misses are like 45+.

We are starting to draw equal with our 2019, and 2020 squads in terms of Records through this point of the season! Those squads were 5-3 at 8 games. Off is Lacking, but if they can fire it up, we are at least one of the wildcard teams Worst case! If we do end up winning next 2-3 games, they prob should look for some trade help. NFC is weak this year so far.

2019 Squad( 8 games) 2020 Squad ( 8 Games) 2023 Squad ( 5 Games)

Points Against 21.7 Points Against 19 Points Against 21.6

Week 6 SF at Browns
Week 7 SF at Min
Week 8 SF vs Cin

SF looks to be 8-0 to start unless one of those teams can pull a win. However SF 2nd half looks to be Rough to start! 7-1 worst case for SF. They might lose 4 or 5 of these and still be top of NFC. Our SF game might be HUGE!

Jags
Bucks
Seahags x2
Iggles
Cards
Ravens
Commodes
US to end

NOW you got me breaking it down. THE RAMS have been In EVERY game !!

You’re talking about a PUNTER in Evans ? We surely don’t know much about Zach, but Ethan is only going to get better.Your also are talking about a KICKER next season?Where talking PLAYOFFS!!! That said has anyone brought up Ethan’s name yet? We can go back under Mcvay when The Leg(Z) was hurt. That would save a roster spot to have a kicker/punter.Evans is kicking the CRAP out of KICKOFFS!!!
—You’re looking ahead, but I’ll look behind right now with you against CINNCY! Worst change of a TD ever IMO!! TUTU ATWELL did not step Out of Bounds!!!You couldn’t have had a better camera angle & it was all GREEN!!
If were talking players Ochean Mathis played against the Eagles & he messed up at The WORST TIME!! Talk about RAW & Out of position!! If he makes a play on Jalen Hurts in the open field The Rams might have won !!
You FORGOT KOBIE TURNER. You looking ahead or behind?? Bobby Brown is out the next 5 GAMES!!
KOBIE TURNER is such a KEY to The RAMS success in 2023!! Don’t know how you forgot about him ??
I could go on,but I agree on an Edge Rusher is needed.Zach Vanvakenburg is NOT the answer or Matias ? Maybe Ochean on pure passing downs & he is not in coverage at all!

The 3 wildcard teams in the NFC should be the Rams, Saints and Cowboys.

The Falcons, Seahawks and Packers seem like Longshots. Seattle being the wildcard of the wildcards if you will.

We might also see the Saints bypass Tampa. But Niners, Eagles and Detroit seem like locks.

All barring injury of course.

The team that can improve the most is us. Because we are so young. We have lots of time for development and Personnel adjustments.

The Hawks might see their secondary turn into a top unit. They may make a run. We need to be better.

If we could just add a pass rusher like it was 2018 then we would become a darkhorse.

Are you ready for a perfect storm? Cuz once we do, there's no going back.

DANG man

Was wondering about Nick Scott & forgot about his FS play.He played well, but Jordan Fuller is the better FS.

Russ Yeast is NIGHT & day better than Taylor Rapp & it shows Big Time.Once again another Ram who is not getting enough credit for his play. The Rams are better than you think from your post.

WEAK - I think the Barbie move is still playing. It’s woman’s cancer awareness so a pink Taylor Swift jersey might be fitting.Ask Tony Romo how that went. What was that chicks name?

Anyway The Rams played an excellent game against the Seachickens, but they are a LOCK for The Playoffs!!!They also have such EXCELLENT young talent on there roster!! They are also coming off a bye week at 3-1.There only loss was The Rams.

The Falcons should get credit for there wins & only losing the games they should have.I wonder about TAMPA IF YOUR talking about a NFL team with a winning record that won’t make it.Maybe a Baker Mayfield jersey is in the future?

F-Green Bay!! The Rams get them at the right time Kevin Demoff really wanted them NOW!! The NFL is not doing The Rams any Favors. That Tutu Atwell TD still pisses me off!!
Saw a stick in the stall at a sports bar above the CAN(toilet)said Jordan Love sucks.

Dallas ?

The Rams get all the Playoff type of teams in 2023.

It will be interesting to see what Morris does if anything. After Donald's angry statement about how things are unacceptable on the defense, he's simply saying what some, myself included have been saying. Why is the most limited CB playing as #1? Witherspoon has consistently outplayed him. Shelley or Ojemudia would bring speed, athleticism and most of all experience. He might also have been alluding to playing a scheme that slows the front 7 down and limits the pressure they can get on a QB.

Staley understood that you can't stop everything all the time. So he prioritized defending the pass. Limit the run and control the run but throttle their passing game was his philosophy. Morris is playing a similar scheme but with a different emphasis. He doesn't have the DL Staley had so he needs to adjust how they play to better fit the talent he has. The bottom line is that Donald's frustration is legitimate. People think I obsess over Morris' overly conserative style. But it's costing games. His DL scheme is the equivalent of the uber soft coverages where he left the short zone undefended. The difference is it isn't as noticeable but it has the same effect.

We do have a lot of teams on the schedule that we might be battling for a playoff spot. If we win 3 of the next 4 I like our chances. AZ, Pitt and GB are all beatable. Who knows, Dallas could be too. Their 3 wins were against some pretty weak offenses in the Giants, Jets and Patriots. They got blown out by a legit team. And the Cardinals lone win was against them. They may not be as good as advertised. What if we won our next 4? We'd be sky high.
