Just cant understand the hate for this guy. My god.

Don't sweat it man. Those guys just can't let it go.

I'll definitely keep up with his career. But then I said the same thing about Bradford and I only watched one game of his with the eagles, the first game of their season on a Sunday night. After that I couldn't be bothered.

It might be different with Goff because he will usually play early and the Rams will usually play late.

Just my 2 cents...

Goff is a pro athlete who takes his job seriously, and he works incredibly hard.

But is he the type to sacrifice almost everything-- social life, romantic life, family life, any other kind of life-- in order to maintain his obsessive devotion to winning football?

Don't know about that.

McVay's fiancée made it clear on "Hard Knocks" that she's essentially a football widow. She gets Sean all to herself for a couple weeks, maybe, in the off-season. Otherwise Sean is all-football, all the time.

So yeah, I think Goff works hard, but maybe he's not as obsessively driven as McVay would like.

Again, just pure speculation on my part, but that's my best guess as to the Goff-McVay relationship.

Lol I mean you were a Cal fan and Goff fan and became a Rams fan but you didn’t jumó ship when he got traded?

Fire, passion, leadership, desire. Things that are always as plain as the nose on a face. That's why I love walking around NYC, just looking at people and knowing "successful, passionate, type-A, driven" or "loser, uninspired, just looking for someone to follow, lazy".
I like to go get a massage with a happy ending but to each his own.

DGAFK! Rams fan dedicated since 1980. Stafford No.9 present time. Otherwise why be a fan. I'll go fishing, adventure out, explore more. Happening next 2 weeks. One day I'll detach myself from this NFl-Rams consumption.i want one more season for a reason. About worn of the constant commericals though. 2021. Half the season I'll likely be off the grid. Gotta love dreams, streams and VPN's!

There were times on the sideline last year you could see he didn’t want to hear it and wasn’t interested in looking at the tablet.

Plenty of body language can show levels of interest.

I don’t know what the difference was between the Buccaneers game snd the Dolphins game but he didn’t seem to have the same intensity week to week.

Breaking his thumb was just bad luck, playing in the Seattle game was unquestionably ballsy and showed the toughness he could have.

I don’t think he will lift the Lions and carry them out of the cellar alone but he could definitely improve over what he did in 2020.
Well we damn well know Matt Stafford could not carry them out of the cellar.

Well we know for sure that if Detroit turns it around this year, it will be that they:
"Finally ______________________"
- got a running game
- got a good o-line
- got a real HC
Because Goff could throw for 4k and 30+ TD and for sure his detractors wont give him the credit for it....

I really like Goff..... he is no doubt a really good kid and teammate, I wish him luck in Detroit, but I guarantee he'll Goff it up there too.

Well welcome to your first big breakup!

I became a fan in ‘89 and Kurt led us to the Ring in 99’ after 8 harsh years of losing and a move to STL. I grew attached to him and when we let him go I was devastated.

I then became a Kurt fan and supported his teams and was very happy to see him do well with the Cards. I think this is why I don’t consider the Cards a rival much, gun to my head I’d choose them to win the division if it’s not us rather than the other two bastard teams.

Sounds like you could be experiencing something similar. I could never leave the Horns even when I tried.

Welcome!

ps Kurt was the best QB and we should have stayed with him. Anybody who reads this! Change my mind!:ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately Kurt needed 4 years to strengthen his hand after that injury and then needed a new glove created that allowed him to hold onto the ball better. We didn't have 4 years to wait :(

Yeah that 4 years we didn’t have to wait created ‘ The Shittiest Show On Turf’. I might disagree with you on this just a little!!

I still feel bad about how Kurt was handled. I'm fine with a competent leadership group making a sound call to move on from any player whether it's a QB or a kick returner. But back then the moves were fueled in ignorance. So glad those days are in the past. New Rams fans are lucky in a lot of ways man, missing out on the 90s is a fucking windfall lol.

No one could drag that train wreck to the playoffs.

I do expect their defense to be better.

What an amazing ability to be able to judge people so well. You can do that anywhere though, no?

I thought my post was dripping with enough sarcasm to be clear. I guess not.

Whatcho talkin bout Willis? 4 years. Warner's last good year with the Rams was 2001. He injured his thumb in SB36 and had an absolutely dreadful 2002 where he reinjured it. His next good year with anyone was 2008. By my math that's a 7 year wait.

Bulger was good in 2002, (really good in) 2003, good in 2004 and in 2005 but by then Martz was done. Becoming the shittiest show on earth had a lot less to do with losing Warner than it did with losing Martz. Hell if Green doesn't get injured there's still TGSOT and probably nobody ever hears of Warner.

Bulger was good in 2002, (really good in) 2003,

was he?

63% comp, 3845 yards, 22 tds, 22ints

if he was really good than goff was outstanding last season and the rams sent him to detroit with a few 1sts.

nah, really good doesn't describe that season.

.

btw, kurt was outstanding in 2007, 4 years after martz tried to end his career opportunities.

Sure the numbers aren't all that impressive. But the performance was. He started 15 games winning 12. In 4 of them, he led 4th quarter comebacks to win the game. He did the same thing in 2004, when the Rams were a measly 8-8, except that year it was only three 4th quarter comebacks, 4 GWD. So in 2 years, his team won 21 games and he led 4th quarter comebacks in a third of them.

Warner was "outstanding in 2007", 6 years after he actually played well? His last good season with the Rams was 2001. In 2002 he was 0- 6 with a QB rating of 67.4. In 2007 he had 27 TDs so if you look at that alone, sure he was outstanding. He also had 17 picks in 11 games. Kurt came back strong in 2008 but that was 7 years after he played any good football.

The point was "waiting 4 years for Warner" which even if it's accepted 2007 was "outstanding" that's actually a wait of 5 years after his lousy 2002 campaign. Goff was given 4 years in McVay's system and got kicked to the curb.

But that's irrelevant. The point is NOBODY waits 5 or 6 years (or even 4 years) for a QB with physical problems to straighten himself out, regardless of whether he was a SB Champ or not.

2002 - last year with Rams

2003 2004 2005 2006 - 4 years

2007 - he started to play much better than he had
