His stats are comparable to last year, but just doesn’t pass the eye test - to me anyway. Ints up, and TDS down.

Can’t have it both ways - saying he was the reason for their success last year, but not part of why they kinda suck this year.

Plus, I loved watching him lose it on the sidelines this year. You will NEVER see that from Goff - not ever.

Goff was your ideal pocket passer with ridiculous accuracy throwing dimes all over the field.
Wentz was a more physical player that won by using his legs too much for my liking.
Goff: "Excuse me! Did you not see my rushing TD last week???"

I pounded the table for Goff coming out of college after watching both QB's college tape.

When it was clear the Rams were going to draft one of these guys I started to watch more tape on both of them. The one thing that stood out the most to me was when the protection broke down and they had to scramble. Wentz was quick to just tuck it and run. It served him well as he picked up yards with that. Goff on the other hand, Always seemed to keep his eyes downfield looking for a receiver. He only ran if there wasn't an open receiver. That is what swayed me towards Goff.

In college you like those guys who can run and pick up first downs. Tebow was great as a college quarterback with that. But in the NFL you want guys who would extend the play and makes the play with his arm. Goff is that kind of quarterback.
