I'll be drafting a thank you letter to Kevin today for all of the help that the Rams organization provided in making this a really special tribute to Thordaddy. Please let me know if there is anything at all that you'd like to me to add or say. I'll post draft of ltr here for people to see before sending.

When did they put something on the big screen? I didn't see it? If anyone saw it, what did it say?

DRAFT LETTER (please feel free to edit, this is a first cut)

Dear Kevin,

cc: Eric, Amanda, LLS Foundation

We at the Rams on Demand (ROD) family thank you, the Rams office staff and the LLS Foundation for helping us fulfill our memorial tribute to Rich Harter (aka Thordaddy) during this past weekend's victory against Seattle.

Great stories and photos from this weekend are now trickling in as fans return home and regain their voices, many of whom are still hoarse. We've heard from ROD fans who met and shared special moments in the stands with the Laurinitis and Kendricks families. In another instance, Eugene Sims went out of his way to warmly greet a ROD fan who is temporarily in a wheelchair, as his mom steered him onto the field for the post game group photo (please see attached copy of photo). And a father and son, who flew-in from Portland for the game, won the pre-game field passes that were auctioned for the benefit of LLS. I believe I can confidently say that the weekend will serve as a special memory for all.

When we first approached you earlier this year about the Thordaddy memorial concept, I was uncertain of the reaction that we would receive. I must say that I've been overwhelmed by the level of warmth and support that we received throughout the Rams organization. Amanda & Eric have been exceptional, and deserve special mention. The folks at LLS have been great, and were extremely excited about the entire event. And of course, your support of our efforts and the LLS charity are applaudable. Overall, it's been an exceptional experience dealing with the Rams, and we'd again like to show our appreciation for everything that you did to make this weekend so special.

Sincerely,
Everyone at Rams on Demand

the email I sent to Amanda:

Amanda,

I would like to personally thank you for the lifetime of memories created this weekend at the Rams game. It was simply awesome sitting with a group of friends that I have never met except online, and watching the Rams win from some fantastic seats. And then to be able to walk on the field after the victory was unreal. So once again TY for making this past weekend special for a lot of people, including myself.

Mike Kelsey

and her reply:

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the nice note. It was great working with your group, and I’m glad you got to enjoy such a great game. It was an awesome way to start the season!

Go Rams!

Amanda

Stranger, this is fantastic. The only thing I noticed was the spelling of Laurinaitis... (everyone has me proofread their stuff). What a fantastic letter.

Yeah, I just cranked it out and figured I'd spell check it later :)

Kevin's reply....

I'm glad the weekend was great for the group and that it provided a fitting outcome for a tribute to Rich. I know our entire group was excited to provide a unique experience for those that are so passionate about our team. The photo is great and one we will pass around the office as a reminder of the power of Rams football to unite so many. Hopefully this past weekend will provide a great start to our 2015 campaign and maybe we can do the second gathering at the home playoff game in January.

My reply to Kevin's reply...

As a Rams fan of 45 yrs, it's gives me tremendous pleasure to see such a quality product on the field. I know this has taken an extraordinary amount of work and planning, but it's clear that this effort is finally paying off. And yes, this team looks to be headed for a deep playoff run. I'm sure we'll be speaking again in January.

By the way, if the total amount of donations raised for LLS is available, I'd certainly appreciate knowing that figure as I'd like to share it with all of the ROD members. I realize that we were able to auction the pre-game field passes for $400, but I'm not sure what the ticket sales and items sold/auctioned from the LLS table raised. Also, I believe a few ROD members who were unable to travel to St Louis for the game donated directly to LLS. And of course, I saw that the Rams made a direct contribution to Rich's LLS Night of the Walk as well. Anyway, I'm sure everyone at ROD is curious if those figures are available, even if it's approximate.
