Hey...it's about as long shot as it gets. But what the hell, as long as there is hope I'm embracing it!

Love this thread. Let's kill the skins and start praying for certain teams to lose. We still have that, let's enjoy it.

Don't we also need the Bears to be the cowgirls?

Yes, that may be one of the biggest games for us this week. We need to be Bears and Vikings fans for the rest of the season.

And all the other losing teams with few wins.

Anything that helps us in the draft while we're also winning.

I can get behind that as well...but what I was getting at is the scenario I pointed out in my other thread. There is a scenario that every team in the NFC West ends the year 9-7. In that scenario, the Rams hold the tie breaker and win the division.

And if the Rams end up tied with the Niners, Lions, and Cowboys at 9-7, the Rams go to the playoffs!!!!!

You sure? Wouldn't the Cowboys have the head-to-head tie breaker over us?

Rams win tie-breaker
All this is possible with the exception of Oak beating SF. But if it does I guarantee that nobody is going to want to play us.

Yes if we end up tied with just the Cowboys, they get the nod but for some reason if Detroit is in the mix, we go to the playoffs.

Go play with ESPN's playoff calculator and you will be surprised at how many combos put us in the playoffs. We just need to win out and I feel luck just might fall our way for a change.

Matter of fact if we end up tied with the Cowboys,Lions, and Vikings, we still go to the playoffs. Don't ask me how but that's how it shakes out. And we'd be a 5th seed going to play the winner of the NFC South!
