Rapp comes off the bench for the Bills, and this happens:

So happy we made this move.

Full disclosure, Adams is on my fantasy team lol.
But Rapps hit seemed unneccessary at least to Adams and the kind of hits that the NFL is trying to curtail. I remember him for some big plays and even hits, but was he known as a dirty player here? Why did Ramsey punch him?

I watched the hit. If Rapp made a mistake, it was going for the player instead of finding the ball. That said, his hit on Adams wasn't untimely. He did seemed to go high, but that's football. I didn't consider it a dirty play. Davante is being a little bitch.

He's not wrong, that's really the way Rapp plays and it's why I was glad they didn't try to resign him. He's one of those players that is physically gifted but he is reckless in his pursuits to the point he whiffs a lot because he's just throwing his body at tackles instead of using good angles and sound tackling.

Don't know about the hit but Adams is right about him only being in there during a blowout. He's a liability in coverage.

Adams needs to stfu.

This is football, and he got blown up on a play that didn't look dirty to me. The crying he's doing is embarrassing... he's just too full of bitchassness to know any better.

Meanwhile... Rapp is a backup these days. That's why he's no longer in Horns.

To clarify by above post, I don't think the play was dirty just that Rapp is a bad tackler. That's just how he tackles... with his body and sometimes his head gets in the way.

The reason why rugby players tackle like that is because they have zero protection unlike NFL players. The NFL used to be more like Rugby, with little helmets and pads that made zero difference. Now they're almost like bionic extensions added to their already athletic bodies. You also have to remember the NFL are the ones who wanted better helmets and pads, not to protect their players but to produce better bigger hits. It's always been about Money.

I get what you’re saying but have you seen the hits in a game of rugby? With the equipment used in the NFL, you could inflict massive damage if you hit properly ala a rugby tackle. It would also mitigate against the whiffs we often see from players who just try to blow every tackle up by using their body as a weapon. JMHO

Yes. Davante like a number of WRs are prima donnas. Be glad they aren’t playing WR in the 60s and 70s. They have no idea how protected they are now comparatively. You won’t hear RBs or TEs today bitching about that. They are the true warriors on offense.

While Adams has a right to be pissed about not finishing the game, he fails to recognize that it's a football game, and that if you're a receiver going over to the middle of the field, there's probably a safety waiting to nail you. That's football 101.

And while I'm glad we have better safeties than Rapp on the team, I highly respect the dude. He's as fit as can be (as evidenced by his triathlete feat; I think I saw it on a Rapp thread way back, and it was amazing with the amount of work he did to stay in shape), and if he ever cleaned up his tackling, he'd be a starter. Maybe not at safety, but definitely as a big nickel.

If it’s the play in that second video, then it looked like Taylor was trying to avoid making a big hit on that play. He seemed to be going down to avoid the collision.
