Last week Zeke had less than 50 yards rushing and this game Michael Thomas held to 36 yards receiving. Next game got to do the same with Gronk. Go Rams!

Wade’s been doing a great job lately, but his biggest challenge awaits. Brady gets the ball out way too fast, and Gronkowski is a matchup nightmare. If we can’t get home rushing 4, it’s going to be a difficult road. I hope Suh continues to elevate his play and makes this one game his swan song. Anything to take the pressure off of Donald will yield a net positive.

Said last night as the Pats drove down the field in OT..The Rams dont have an answer for Gronk. And it could be his last game ever

Suh is playing as good as any time in his career, maybe the best ever

Don’t forget Hogan and Burkett’s as well. Patriots are deadly as a team.

We need to stop the run first, shut down Sony Michel. Then I think james white in covrrage needs to be bracketed. Our LBs struggle against elite pass catching backs and i expect Belichek to exploit this. I say let JJ try and man up on Gronk who's not 100%.

I feel like we should put Talib on Gronk.

He is a big cornerback, fast, and physical.

I think Gronk is a shell of himself and that Talib who also has a lot of smarts can limit Gronks effectiveness.

I would also put NRC on Edelman.

Peters can play his off coverage zone that he does extremely well. He had a good game against NO.

I don't know what to do about Joyner though. He has had a terrible year and I had high hopes for this secondary with him watching the field from the back end. He has missed so many plays.

Key to beating NE is kind of simple but similar to what we did against the Saints.

Talib needs to follow Edelman and bump him at the line. Brady gets rid of the ball fast because the knows where 11 will be. Tennessee and Detroit did this.
Littleton did well against NOs RBs and should have the same role against James White. Hitting the RBs before they get a head of steam will put them in 3rd and long situations. Littleton should be great against White.
Biggest thing is you have to press the NE receivers at the line, if you dont they will hang 37 on you like they did this weekend.
Throw off their timing and make Hogan beat you deep.

I actually think the Rams can match up well on D to defend the NE offense. Wade has been around long enough and will watch the tape of Tennessee and Detroit.

I thought another thing was the big key. Though your point is certainly true as well.

Kamara and Ingram combine for 46 yards on 17 carries. A third came on one 16 yard run. The Saints were the #6 rushing attack in YPG at 126.6 and they got STUFFED and barely got a third of that after getting 137 on 31 attempts on a tough Eagles defense the week prior.

Also they combined for 13 catches for 102 yards, with Kamara gaining 96 on 11 catches, all dump off's.

Not a single back breaking play from either.

By stopping the run cold it forced SP to throw it more than he probably would have liked and his play calling was part of the Rams winning this game.

Pats receiving corps isn't that huge of a challenge physically. They're playing well thus far in the playoffs but if we can continue to stuff the run and play how we have been playing on defense I think we're going to be ok. Gronk isn't his usual beast self, and good as Edelman is they don't force matchups against CB2&3 to where Tom can be unstoppable.

Concern is that they're going to attack us in the flats/edge how the Saints did, where our linebacking can be exposed a bit. But still, I think this game comes down to Jared Goff and whether he's ready to make quick adjustments to Belichick. From that perspective this game is different than the Saints game, as Jared didn't play them this year.

Stopping the best player for the pats means stopping Brady. If Rams can take a page from the Giants SB winning script and get consistent pressure on Brady then they can control the game.

The Pats held up well against KC's strong pass rush on those big third down conversions in OT. The thing is KC generates their beset pressure off the edge whereas our Rams get more great pressure up the middle, which really effects a stationary QB like Brady.

If Gronk being 100% is the old Gronk that isn't going to happen again. But he's still one of the best blocking tight ends in the game and hasn't lost all his receiver skills.

He's rightfully taken a lot of heat this year but this was impressive yesterday.

Breesus was dumping it off most of the game though, otherwise he would have been sacked a lot.

Credit for Peters having a good game, but they weren't going after him. They didn't have any time to let long plays develop.

Breesus got the ball out ASAP. He got 6.2 YPA.

That 6.2 is because the LB's, especially Littleton, tackled well.

Wade’s been doing a great job lately, but his biggest challenge awaits. Brady gets the ball out way too fast

Well I think that the D will be ready for Brady and his outlet passes. They were ready for Brees!

In his career Brady has averaged the following YPA in the SB.

5.37
7.38
7.15
5.54
6.73
6.56
7.52
10.52

The Patriots have almost always gone to a short passing game in the post season. The exceptions are there of course but mostly Brady is put into position to reduce the possibility of mistakes. And as you can see especially in The Big Game.

If the Rams defense plays like it has the last two weeks this is a Rams victory. The Patriots don't have enough to overcome the Rams with a dink and dunk O because of the front 4. They will have to deviate from their normal stuff to have a shot at a win.
