It's happened 13 times and the loser has come back to win 8. Tough to beat a team twice as the Rams lost to the Titans in 1999 to defeat them in the Super Bowl and they beat the Patriots during the 2001 season only to lose in the Super Bowl. The last four times though, the losing team in the Regular season has won.

2011 Giants - Patriots

2007 Giants - Patriots

2001 Patriots - Rams

1999 Rams - Titans

1994 49ers - Chargers

1993 Cowboys - Bills

1990 Giants - Bills

1986 Giants - Broncos

1985 Bears - Patriots

1983 Raiders - Redskins

1981 49ers - Bengals

1980 Raiders - Eagles

1977 Cowboys - Broncos

And the Regular Season Results:

1980 Eagles won 10-7

1983 Redskins won 37-35

1990 Bills won 17-13

1993 Bills won 13-10

1999 Titans won 24-21

2001 Rams won 24-17

2007 Patriots won 38-35

2011 Patriots won 24-20

Interesting. I always think of our last two Super Bowls when this comes up.

We lost to thein the pre season which was one of the reasons why i thought we would beat them a couple of weeks ago.

Third time lucky as they say.

IF the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl (which I doubt given their OL), and IF the Rams get there and have Talib in their secondary, we're going to get our second ring.

Nice work @den-the-coach and I for one would prefer that if the Rams make it that they do not face the Chiefs again.

I want NE or PITT.
Definitely Cheatriots. Fuck Boston Fan, Fuck Bellicheat, Fuck the "Goat", who by the way wouldn't be called the Goat if it wasn't for cheating and a really good Defense and Coaching. Does anybody really think Manning wasn't a better QB? When he had a defense in the playoffs against the Ceatriots, his team came back from a 17 point half time deficit and brady on the last drive to win it, threw a interception. Manning in those early battles with Brady had way less to work with. I really hate the thought of winning SB as the tie breaker. We constantly talk about it being a team game and how without having the right ingrediants on the team, you can't come back in a game, you can't win a SB. He is a great QB, but the GOAT label is BS. To beat them in the SB would be sweet!!

I’m going to toss out the 2001 SB for obvious reasons. :sneaky:

Yessir! GOAT my ass! Why is it then that every QB [edit: after performing decently— look at the coaches too!] that has been lured out of that "system" been a piece of shit? Talk about system QB!

I hate Brady like any other Rams fan who was alive in 2001, but if you dont think the come back against Atlanta in the SB was impressive, I don't know what is. Winning as much as he has is impressive, regardless of what was around imo.

Yes, but no dread of statistics past. The Rams will be better against both the Chiefs and the Saints if they play again.
