Goff had to throw to Hockenson about 40 times that game (okay I exaggerated) but he did have to throw to his TE and RBs 30 times. Here's one that jumps out at me:
Average Air Yards/Attempt & Average Air Yards/Completion:
Jared Goff (2020): 6.2/attempt, 4.9/completion
Matthew Stafford (Week 1): 8.8/attempt, 9.1/completion
Welcome back, big play offense!
The Goff stats were from last year with the Rams, not last week with the Lions.Goff had to throw to Hockenson about 40 times that game (okay I exaggerated) but he did have to throw to his TE and RBs 30 times.
His WRs just were not getting open downfield from what I saw (damn the no all 22)
You’re asking us to pay attention to details now?The Goff stats were from last year with the Rams, not last week with the Lions.
Excellent point and I was thinking the same. Defenses will be forced to try to stop our passing game firstHaving Stafford will open up the run game big time, IMO. I know it didn’t happen until late in the game last week, but I think stats like these will only help improve the ground game.
No, it was my fault. Next time I’ll type slower and use a larger font. You’re asking us to pay attention to details now?

I think the 12.3 was yards-per-pass-attempt.If I'm not mistaken his 12.3 yds per pass completion was highest of anyone in week 1.
Does anyone read before responding?Stafford had 331 passing yards on just 26 pass attempts.
So his yards-per-attempt had to be over ten.
Does anyone read before responding?
