The St. Louis Rams made big improvements last season under veteran coach Jeff Fisher as they went from 2-14 to 7-9. The Rams also made their way through the rugged NFC West with a 4-1-1 record. Despite the team's progression and the overall positive feeling about its on-field direction, St. Louis is not expected to contend for anything other than a mediocre finish. Offshore bookmaker 5Dimes has the Rams listed as a +7000 money line selection ($100 wins $7000) in its latest 2014 Super Bowl Odds and they are a +800 play to win the NFC West. If the odds maker's at 5Dimes are correct, the Rams may not exceed last year's win total either as they are favored, at -130 odds, to win fewer than 7.5 games.

Early NFL game lines from Vegas based Cantor Gaming would seemingly concur with 5Dimes projections regarding the Rams. Cantor has St. Louis favored in just four of its 15 lined games (Week 17 was excluded) and listed as a Pick'em in only one contest, a week 14 meeting with the Cardinals in Arizona.

+800 to win the division? That's 7-1; you can get 11-1 here in England.

I might have a small wager on at those odds.

Interestingly, we're only 66-1 (+6700) to win the SuperBowl with British bookmakers.
