So the Patriots fumble rate went up this season....

Why are the Patriots the only team the has had this 16 year run. Nobody is even close.
Ernie Adams has a lot to do with it also IMO. Not cheating in the same way that card counting in a casino isn't cheating....but still. Wish we had a guy like that not cheating for us.

Cyrus Jones has fumbled it 5 times, and Jacoby Brissett 3. Two rookies contributed to something like 30% of the Pats fumbles this season.

Jones is frustrating as hell to watch return punts and kicks.

No one wants to say it? I'll say it. The Patriots, their coach and their QB. are flat out CHEATERS. They have a history of it and have been cultivating it ever since Billechek took over as HC. I suspect it goes deeper than what -X- suggested and anyone could guess, I wouldn't be surprised it they have bribed officials. In the last 15 years the Patriots have played 5 games where they HAD NO PENALTIES. Most NFL teams have NEVER played a game with no penalties in their entire history. We know they bribed towel guys to record the Rams plays when they were practicing for their SB with the Pats. For that one the league should have banned Billechek from football forever or for a year at least. That they did not I conclude they condone cheating, and they'll keep doing it because they know the league isn't going to do anything about it.

It also reminds us of the rule that was changed in 2006 to allow teams to use their own footballs for away games (rule was lobbied for by Brady himself).

PManning also lobbied very hard for this..........someone should check the Colts out too.

Not sure this tells anything. Other than teams go up and down

Actually iirc, 2013 was an aberration due to a few games where on player had multiple fumbles rather than the team having systemic turnover issues, but I could be mistaken. Without those, their numbers would be more in line with their typical sub 1 numbers.

The only thing that I know for sure is that I don't have a horse in the SB...Having said that, I'm not just a fan, but rather a HUUUGE fan of the guys from Georgia for the next 2 weeks

I would bet Minnesota's would be likely attributed to more inside games = fewer fumbles.

Indoor teams should fumble less on average, I would suppose. Looking at that list of teams there doesn't seem to be any real correlation.

I'm sure you can say the same thing about any individual team. I'm all for a smoking gun theory against the Pats but this year history shows more that deflategate had nothing to do with their fumbling.

All of this Patrihate is a tad tiresome, it's almost like you guys are making excuses for the fact that the Rams have sucked for so long - because "we play by the rules..."

EVERY team bends the rules somewhat, lets just leave it at that ...

I didn't know it was still any type of controversy that the balls were deflated? Just a matter of who is "responsible".
