Kinda funny all this talk about the Chargers being the best team in football after a come from behind win over the Chiefs. Pro bowlers at every level, Rivers could be mvp, Bosa,Ingram, Mike Williams, the defensive rookie of the year, well a funny thing happened on way to the super bowl, they got punched in the mouth.
That was the difference between them and the Chiefs and Rams, the Chargers actually play defense supposedly. The Chargers aren’t Hollywood, they’re not style over substance, they built this team in the draft instead of using mismatched parts.
Well, it looks like KC should be able to get that #1 seed and the Chargers will have to do it the hard way. They can still win it of course, just like everyone else. Experts had the Rams in the SB, then the Chiefs, then the Saints, then the Chargers. It almost seems like nobody has any idea how it’s going to turn out.

It seems like every top offense has slowed down since December hit. The Chiefs are the only arguable exception, and we'll see how they fair at Seattle. I know a lot of people are worried right now, but I'll feel fine going into the playoffs if we finish strong against Arizona and SF. Keep in mind that we clinched the division in the KC game. I think we haven't come out with the same intensity since that happened. I expect that intensity is back for the playoffs.

Jesus the NFL media weekly hype machine... Spin that MFer again, round and round it goes.

Beautiful thing in all this is we don't have to hear how defense doesn't matter any more. End of the season and into the playoffs and defense rears its head. Imagine that.

It’s setting up for one of the best playoff seasons in a while.

Our only chance in my book of getting to and through New Orleans is for Wade to pull a rabbit out of his butt with our defense. That will take scheme and personnel tweaks.

The Ravens have the number 1 defense in the league. Fewest points allowed ( ( 18 ppg) and Fewest yards allowed per play. You know what they do? They BLITZ. They blitz MORE than Any team in the NFL. They are the number 1 in blitzing, percentage wise ( that is a FACT) . Wade could learn a few things from Martindale. That stubborn grand PA insists in rushing only 4 guys in 99% of the snaps, cmon now. We gotta be the team that LESS blitz in the entire league. Baltimore consistently sends both safeties or both corners after the qb. Linebackers also.

Best defense in the league and where does that put them? The number 6 seed and needing to win week 17 to even make the playoffs. The top offenses? Oh they've already locked up playoff spots!

I think if Wade and the Rams had better linebackers, they just might blitz more

There is a reason offenses have slowed down since December. Defenses have watch the tape and started to figure out ways to slow them down. Chargers, Chiefs, Saints, and Rams all have scored less points in the last four weeks. Let's just hope our Rams have an ace up their sleeve for the playoffs.

I think this is going to be a wide open play off season.
I can see multiple teams from each conference making a run.

Now that the regular season has settled into its final leg perhaps it is offenses getting an early jump that sets teams up for making the playoffs. But I believe it will be the strong defensive teams that show well in the playoffs.

Littleton is very good in blitzing. Few times Wade sent him he made a play. Wade can also blitz safeties and corners and I have yet to see him doing that. I think He blitzed Joyner or jhonson ( can't remember) ONCE and that is it.

Not to nitpick but didnt we clinch the division after Detroit? We came out flat during that game, too.
