Isnt this an admission that the refs have not been doing their job all year long, but now with only 3 games left the league wants them to finally do something? And from the way the article is written it looks like the NFL wants to insure that the shecocks win. I expect this to be another keystone cops like effort from the refs, where they will flag the whiners for coughing to loud and the shecocks will be free to taunt, hold and all the regular cheap shots and cheating that they do every week.

They should be doing their jobs the same in preseason games as they are now and all throughout the season. There should be no need for the league office to get involved unless a referee is not doing their best each week. We don't want the zebras to control anything, it is better if they are neither seen or heard during a game.
