Hehheheh... yeah, I figured that might happen for a couple of people. So I tried to make the trade terms a bit, uh, ‘fanciful’ to make it clear it was a joke...

Galactus would be an upgrade at NT though.

Snead will take it easy on us for a couple days now... right?

Honestly, we all love bold. We love big names. We trust this regime’s ability to evaluate. This is the biggest turnover in recognizable names since 99 when we got Faulk, Timmerman, Green, and Holt and that worked well. We have sugar plum fairies dancing in our heads.

On the other hand, the NFL is littered with teams that win the silly season in the eyes of pundits but the chemistry suffers, injuries derail, and big money cripples a team for years. I’m not portending doom. I trust this regime...they’ve proven themselves already to be astute. Still, we’ve dumped high character guys like Ogletree and Quinn for two volatile corners, one who is 32 years old. We’ve upgraded talent but it is a gamble. At least they aren’t free agents, these are trades with shorter contracts which allow for the draft to replace them when age and overbearing contracts dictate the end. Going for broke this year. Hey, why not?

The Rams will be crippled for decades if this offseason doesn't pay off

.

the lower draft picks look like a wash so in essence the trades are

ogletree, quinn, 2018 1st and 2019 2nd

for

peters, talib, cooks and 2018 4th.

yes please.

getting rid of ogletree would have been a win if the rams received nothing back. getting rid of his salary and game changing whiffs was enough.

winning all the way.

I'm not down with this trade. It's not the "Sears" Tower anymore, and I heard the bag of donuts are stale. Snead should have just grabbed OBJ.
