so my wife is sitting there watching the Saints Falcons replay on NFLN (Gawd I love her) and she comes into the room and asked me:

"what ever happened to Steven Jackson, don't hear anything about him any more. I mean, we used to see highlights every week when he was with the Rams, because he was the Rams, but we don't hear shit any more. Is he injured or something?"

just thought I would share

Nice. Tell her that the California Angels signed him in FA to a ten year 200 million dollar deal.

Slightly (or maybe more) off target because this is not about Sjax... but the heat I am feeling on this RR things is BIG.

Wife is a late comer to football (we have been watching Cards for 6 years, Rams for 3 yrs) but she is extremely pissed about this stuff going on in the NFL'.

I think I will have to give up real blood just to watch on Sundays. If she finds my login/password for NFL rewind, I am sure she will cancel it.

NFL is a lot closer to precipice than they think. Women (Men too) Are really pissed and it just get worse by the hour.

I watched the end of the Falcons Saints game after our debacle on Sunday. I seen the Falcons win. I'm gonna be rooting for them this season when I'm not watching the Rams. One of my buddies is a Falcons fan, and it would be nice to see SJ have a winning season and make the playoffs.

so was I last year until he got hurt along with half the offense and I stopped watching them. but you know what you make a good point. obviously the Rams aren't going anywhere this year so unless there's a personal vendetta against them I think every Rams fan in here should be pulling for a Falcons playoff run. Jackson deserves it as much as anyone else in the league right now. I would like him to retire with a ring cus we will always be left wondering what could have been with him under better circumstances. still kills me he wasted SO MUCH potential being with the Rams all that time. Im not gonna start this debate again but under the right circumstances he had HOF potential IMO.

There is no precipice when it comes to the NFL.

If he had been on a winning team, he would have been a HOF candidate, for sure. 10K yards on the worst team in the league is no easy feat when every defense had nothing to do but game plan to stop him. He was the only reason I tuned in to watch the Rams for several years.

Look at 2006. That's called maximizing potential. 2,334 all-purpose yards. MONSTER (bottom parts just fun facts)

Jackson is a Christian. Jackson wears the number 39 because it is the number of books in the Old Testament.[12]

Jackson enjoys reading, sketching and also likes to travel. He also took drafting in high school because of his interests in drawing.
