ESPN’s Louis Riddick joined Kevin Wheeler to talk about the NFL Draft, what he sees in this draft, the QBs and the question Mariota and Winston face, and they discussed the Rams plan heading into the draft, and the question of need or best player?

But what happens if say all the decent Tackles are gone by time we pick in 2nd. we will ne forced to resign Barksdale and that would be a mistake

It would be a mistake to count on any OT to start out of the box. The Rams need to sign a vet regardless.

They already signed swing tackle Reynolds. i think the writing is on the wall for Barksdale
He's a backup at best. If he's needed for longer than a few games, Foles will not perform well.

Simply put, the Rams F'd up. Not just in FA but also in all the previous drafts where they could have invested more in the O-line but instead got cocky and thought they could get coach Bou to turn chicken shit into chicken salad. Now they're painted into a corner. There really isn't a good answer at this point, IMO. All you can do is pray that BPA just happens to fall in line with their needs.

I think it's highly unlikely all the decent OT's are gone by #41!

Passing over the best players to reach for the lesser ones based on need is how you build championship teams.

Who's to say the bpa isn't an o-lineman on the Rams big board? They have much more accurate info than we do about all these prospects. ...in the form of interviews private workouts and better film to evaluate with. For that matter Danny Shelton might be the best player on the board when we draft....lol just saying....anyway. ..I cannot wait til Thursday night so we can start figuring out what this team will look like....see if any of us were right with our picks and evaluation........;)

Go Rams............ ;)
