He certainly has a much higher opinion of Tyler Higbee than most fans here do.

I’m not a big analytic but I think Higbee has played pretty well except for that drop near the goal line (can’t remember who it was against). Was a tough catch but one he should have came down with.

I dont think Higbee is a bad player. But he could be much better. He had opportunities to be above average, but had some key drops that were disappointing.

I think all the TEs are still developing.
Except Carrier I guess but he does his thing well enough.
I think Higbee still has room to grow and get better but it's not like he has been terrible.
Blocking has been better.

Listen I love McVay... but I've learned over 30 years of watching football that I take very little of what any coaches say to meaning anything.

I mean what else is he supposed to say about Higbee? Higbee is a young player he wants to develop He isn't going to sit up there and say "this guy is looking like a bust, but I hope he gets better.."
