I'm still seeing Reynolds putting up some good numbers this year.
But, who knows, McVay might want to see Van Jefferson get plenty of field time and experience if the plan is not to keep Reynolds on.
Really pleased with the receivers we've got this season.
No doubt in my mind that Kupp shines this year as well.

we really need to keep JR on the team, because if any 1 of our stud WR's goes on the 'Rona IR, we need depth. The team with the most depth in the most position groups will have the edge this year. JR gives us nice depth, watch his tape, he runs routes well too & has a nice jump ball.

Reynolds is a lock to make the 53. A lock.

First time getting to see and hear Reynolds up close. Seems like a cool but serious dude as does Jefferson.

I can see Reynolds getting a little better. I do think Jefferson will split reps early and then take over the 3rd WR spot quickly. We really could see some 4 WR sets. Jefferson can get open quickly for some quick hitters. Great pick to reload the WR group.

What isn't being reported is Josh continues to drop passes. That said it's clear Josh has improved his route running. He's more decisive than in previous years which is good. He's growing, but is it enough? This is where the lack of preseason games or scrimmages against other teams hurts the evaluation and development. Because of Covid 19 they will keep him for depth. But beyond this season I don't see it. They have Ramsey and Kupp to extend and with Jefferson, and now Webster making an impact I think Josh is looking at a numbers release. Too bad because like Everett, the Rams simply developed a player for another team. But that is the price you pay when you have a loaded roster. Working against Josh are rookies like Edwards and Koski both who are showing up in camp. Koski is an interesting prospect and shows just how deep this last draft was in WRs. Though he timed in 4.54 range he plays faster more akin to the 4.4 range which is excellent for a man who is 6'1" 186 lbs. Playing at Cal Poly SLO is what dropped him nationally in the draft. As a small school product he's a bit raw but not overly so. The Ram's WR room is abolutely loaded. Josh carries a $2.2M cap but only a $162K dead cap.

Safety and CB are two other positions where they are stacked. Nick Scott who has a ton of potential, simply lacking coaching and reps at a single position (safety) is coming along as well. With Johnson, Rapp, Burgess, Fuller, now Scott and the return of Gervase thats real depth. CB they have Ramsey, Long, Williams, Deayon, Burgess, and Hill it's obvious even if Hill is kept on the team this year he won't be next year. Hill's cap number and the play of Williams and the drafting of Burgess have made him expendable. He carries a $4.4M cap charge with only a $500K dead cap which is too much for a non-starter. He needs to clearly beat out Long, Williams, and Burgess to stay on this team and I don't see him doing it.

Look at it another way. Releasing or trading Hill and Reynolds clears almost $6M in cap. For a team as close to the cap as the Rams are it's something that will be in the equation. The flipside is that allowing them to walk next year potentially brings them compensatory picks something Snead covets though there is no guarantee they will get them.

Between Woods wanting an extension and Krupp and Reynolds contract expiring one of the three are gone in 2021. Wish the Rams could engineer a trade.

Reynolds days are numbered, but I don't know about Hill. CB's that are productive are Gold. If he has a solid year they might negotiate a deal. He might have turned that corner as he's started to show some consistency and up his game.

Not going to get into the dropped passes, as none of us know if he did or not. But in this Covid lifetime, I can't see us trading our depth. Hill, I could see, but only if Long, Williams, Deayon and Alexander really step up. I could see that.

Reynolds? No. Reynolds is the tallest receiver on our roster, and is a decent route runner for his size. He has a role here. Let's not mess with that.

If he had been here before McVay, he would have been the best Rams WR drafted since Torry Holt. Hell, even their FA WRs in the decade prior to McVay (Lloyd, Britt, Clayton) were never much better either.

Nice comment on Clayton, I liked him - he also had one of those photo memories & could line up the other WR's on a play. He had a nice dig route that was open a lot. He'd be a good WR coach, wonder what he's doing.
