I was a fan for his potential talent but something about his personality turned me off. I always said he came off as a naive or immature person, especially for the shoes he had to fill.

I know I will be criticized for this but I'm a fan of "rah rah" Brett Favre type quarterbacks. There have been many quiet, stoic types who had great success in the NFL but that's just my preference. A leader should inspire those around him and I never got that impression from SB.

He's a pro. He's not going to say anything other than "best locker room ever...best coach ever....I'm happy...etc". It's being a pro and a good teammate and leader even if it's not true.

Likewise... I have worked for enough upper management types that have lied to my face also. Maybe that is being professional... I do not think so.

This is business, EVERYONE says some kind of BS to make the fans and owners/coaches happy. The rams are no longer signing his pay checks, why should he represent a team that he's no longer on?
