i like how you have to turn everything into an argument about Morris though... the defense was good this game and I give them credit!

You are becoming unbearably annoying on the other hand - might be time for ignore.
It really does seem obsessive at this point.

Until Hoecht learns how to seal the edge he's only good for 3rd and longs from the outside.
Yeah he is going to need to show improvement in his contain. But I am enjoying his ability to drive OTs into the pocket. It has helped us in the pass game of late so hope to see some improvement over the remaining games.

I don't think he is an answer but as a rotation piece with some rush threat he's a hell of a discovery.

I'd still make that move to trade him. Hopkins will become a free agent as well as Higbee following the 2023 season, so being that we know what Higbee is all about already, I'd rather get something for him now as opposed to getting nothing later. Starting Hopkins next year may not produce better overall results, but I'd like to see him get many more snaps before completely dismissing them both after the season.
I see Michael Mayer as a 1'st Round prospect, little chance for the Rams, ... I'm liking Or.St. TE Luke Musgrave with our 3'rd round pick, after taking an OL in the 2'nd. jmo..
Higbee trade has them take a near 6 mill dead cap hit, while paying him 6.25 mill. I'd just as soon keep him since it doesnt save money, and there's no way they keep Hopkins with 4th year salary bump. They need TE help bad, cant see how moving the only borderline player makes sense, they'd have to dip in to FA pool, which we all know they wont.
Mayer will be a top 10-15 pick, that's why I said trade up, though they surely dont seem to have the assets to do that

Staffords wife had a brain tumor and had brain surgery. She has always been really vocal about concussions and their severity in the past and now again this year with Staffords multiple concussions shes been talking a lot about it. Here is a quote from her:

If you have listened to my podcast at all, you know how a big a deal it is to me. The head is not something to be messed with and I hope as this sport develops, so does the concern for head health and the research around it,” Kelly wrote in an Instagram story “And no, I’m not ok,” she added. “I have every emotion running through me. Concerned, angry, sad, tired, all of them.”

I don’t see stafford going the brady route and picking football over his family. He won a superbowl. He already accomplished what he came here for. He has his wife and kids and I get the sense he may ride off into the sunset.
I heard on a show, (can’t remember with the dozen I watched which one) that Stafford has a Spinal Cord Contusion?

Has anybody else heard this as well? I wonder if it’s factual? If so I’m thinking how his wife is he might actually retire or at least prolong his return.

He's a 300 lb DE he's not built for an OLB job. Love the effort and some of what he's done. But yeah he couldn't contain the edge last night, we're lucky the Raiders stopped taking advantage of that.

His current injury is that yes. He also was reported with a concussion a week or two earlier.

They were playing Cover 2 Man... so there were two safeties on the field to help over the top.

The idea is that by you jam the receivers so make the routes take longer and then this in turn will chew clock.

There are lots of different ways to approach a 2 min defense - they can all work or fail.

100% it seems dumb with 15 seconds left and no timeouts to have a safety mugging the line of scrimmage.

That made zero sense.

I read your post twice before I realized I already have that member on ignore for the same reason!

That's exactly what happened. TuTu was running a post and the safety went to help left Van in single coverage. TuTu gave us value even when the ball wasn't coming his way.

He also had his man beat because the Raider DB expected safety help so used outside leverage.

So, that safety loses either way. Bail inside and Van catches TD or bail outside and Tutu catches TD on the Post.

That defensive play call was gawd awful for sure… still props to Baker for dropping that absolute dime and VJ for making that clutch catch along with Skow and Atwell

They are criticizing the Raiduhs for their use of press man in THAT SITUATION. Apples and oranges to what I see people upset about with Raheem and the soft shell coverage that he deploys almost exclusively.

It's almost like coverages should be situational

Stafford should call it quits, his wife wants him to hang em up, happy wife, happy life.

It's Mayfield time.
train

I don’t think he’s done and I hope he comes back, but having Mayfield in the mix sure feels a helluva lot better than Wolfy and Perkins

Defending a Rams coach or player is what you expect on a Rams fan web site. He's defending "our guy". That doesnt make him obsessive, that makes him a loyal fan
Cool story and thanks for "correcting" me. There is a difference between defending a stance and stalking all comments to its contrary. There have to be hundreds of posts saying the same...... Damn...... Thing. For the record, I am not firmly on either side of the debate....

That was the thing that apparently caused the numbness in his legs that he complained about after the Saints game.

So whoever the QB is, they need to build a fortress around him. They showed last night that even with Atwell & Skowronek, they can be functional. Just need to protect the QB and open some holes in the run game.

And looking at the Niner D, you have to put together a more physical OL & DL to compete with them.
