As great a year as Todd had, the guys I ranked ahead of him had record setting type years. Todd had an AMAZING 2017 and he was the engine that drove our offense, but I'd be hard pressed to rank his season about Ike who put up 1,781 yards, which would have broken the old NFL record, but Rice broke it the same year. And I'd put Donald's 91 pressures and 11 sacks above Todd as well as Night Train's STILL NFL record 14 picks in a 12 game season. That's what makes ordering the top 10 so hard. These are all historic single seasons in Rams history
This has been a very difficult ranking...lol.

Ok, maybe reorder your #7-10:

8. Gurley
9. Holt
10. Quinn

I really think Gurley's season was very impactful, with a number of games where he had a lot of impact on the wins (think at Dallas and at Seahawks, etc.). Quinn had a great season, but how many were impactful sacks vs. garbage time sacks. I'd take Gurley & Holt's production over Quinn.

Anyway, there's my additional comments!

You could order those any way you want and I'd be fine with that. I know Quinn had the misfortune of being on a non-playoff team with backups playing half of the year, but his big plays had major impacts on our games:

Wk 1 vs ARI (W 27-24): 3 sacks and 2 FF (the second when we were down 24-21 in the 4th quarter)
Wk 8 vs SEA (L 9-14): 3 sacks and a TFL in MNF game we had a chance to win vs the eventual SB champs
Wk 10 @ IND (W 28-8): 2 sacks & FF (returned for TD by Long on first drive, setting tone for blowout W)
Wk 12 vs CHI (W 42-21): 1 sack, FF, and TD (iced the game with a strip sack, scoop & score)
Wk 15 vs NO (W 27-16): 2 sacks, FF (signature strip sack of Brees, also hit Brees to cause INT on first play)
Wk 16 vs TB (W 23-13): 3 sacks (had 2 at the end of the game to ice it & breaking Kevin Carter's record)

So you could say Quinn had a significant impact on at least half of our wins that year and making game changing plays to swing the momentum.

This is not to discount the year Todd had. I agree games like DAL, SF, SEA, TEN stand out, but to merely penalize Quinn for being on a loser isn't fair imo. He deserved to be DPOY in 2013 and had as dominant a year from and edge as I've ever seen.

Having said all of that, I see how a case can be made for Todd because he may have had a larger impact on our Ws and we actually made the playoffs. It's something I will consider heavily when finalizing my list. I also try to consider how unique of a year each player had for their position at that time. That's why guys like Crazylegs and ED are so high.

That's my point, for your consideration in finalizing your list! To add, everyone was giving Gurley a bad rap at the start of the season because of the previous year, and he was dealing with new coaches and scheme; and he still came through big time!

Talking with another friend rn too and the two of you are swaying me in the direction of Todd over Quinn. I think their seasons are really neck and neck, but playoffs count for something. And the doubters of Todd after a rough 2016 count for something too!

Like I said earlier, this is a tough ranking. I've spent about an hour today mulling it over. You did put together a pretty damn good top 10.

Faulk's 1000 yard rushing and 1000 yard receiving season in 1999 would be on my list.

Only 1 of 2 RB's to accomplish that feat.

Yeah, I had a hard time narrowing down my list, but I chose to only feature 1 season per player. 1999 was a great season for Marshall, no doubt; but imo his 2000 campaign was even more spectacular. W/o Warner for 5 games Marshall really carried the load and set the single season TD record (26) in just 14 games. Also eclipsed 2k yards from scrimmage for the 3rd straight year.

I get ya.. but what Faulk did in 1999 was crazy rare.. .only done once other time.. and 20 years later no one since. Even in the age of the pass.
