This could be a sign that Tree can't go.

With two of their starting linebackers listed as questionable, the Rams have made a move to bolster their depth.

Los Angeles signed linebacker Cameron Lynch off its own practice squad on Saturday morning. Cornerback Dominique Hatfield has been waived as the club’s corresponding move.

The Rams signed Lynch to their practice squad earlier this week. Originally an undrafted linebacker out of Syracuse, Lynch signed with the Rams in the spring of 2015 and spent his rookie year with the club. Lynch appeared in all 16 games that year as a heavy contributor on special teams.

Lynch was waived when Los Angeles reduced its roster to 53 players at the start of the regular season last year. He went on to spend the 2016 season and much of the 2017 season with the Buccaneers.

Middle linebacker Alec Ogletree (elbow) and outside linebacker Connor Barwin(forearm) are both listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest against the Eagles. If they are unable to play, Bryce Hager and Samson Ebukam would start in their places, respectively. As such, Lynch could provide depth and take snaps on special teams to provide some relief for Hager and Ebukam.

It says to me that the Rams have 3 injured STARTING LB'ers (2 with broken bones & 1 with a badly mess up elbow thats seriously painful) . Cameron was always a good in the box MLB'er who brings the hit with his tackles. He is limited but the Eagle's have a really big massive hard running bull @ RB who could cause our lighter DL'ers, Backers & extra small safeties some big worries.

I was never impressed with Hatfield's skill nor his small size I like Peterson a bit better. In addition Barron's back up LB'er Cory Littleton is more of an outside LB'er type than inside backer.

Before Ogletree left the game (after he returned with the compression wrap) he was favoring his arm badly. I specifically watched each play, and at times he even left the arm dangling down.

I will be surprised if he plays. But... a “word” from the late Joaquin Andujar... youneverknow.

I concur about Lynch & Peterson over Hatfield, IMO, Hatfield was kept because of his special teams ability as a gunner, whereas, Peterson was a better CB, but not significantly better. This is an area where the Rams will have to improve next off season, not only replacing Trumaine Johnson with a free agent signing like Malcolm Butler for example, but also drafting a CB or two for better depth replacing the likes of Troy Hill & Peterson.

Lynch as I see is ST depth, we’re gonna see what Hager and perhaps Littleton bring

I’m looking forward to it, almost as much as I’m looking forward to crushing poor Phyllis’ errrr Phillys hearts

Well, if Lynch doesn't play, that means Hager will play quite a bit and that is scary....In the words of Donald Anton Denkinger to the late Joaquin Andujar..."You're out of here."

I’m curious as to why you see Hager as “scary”

Smart heads up player who I thought filled in just fine last week

Everybody seems to like Hager, LMK when he makes a play...There is a reason why the hot girl doesn't have a boyfriend.

He actually made a pretty important pass defense play against the Cards. Thanks for playing

Agree with bringing in better talent & skill than Hill & Peterson. Not on board for dumping of guaranteed $$ & future ransom $$ for Malcolm Butler but instead going for the winning trifecta of our own Joyner/Davis/NR-C instead.

Of course that would mandate drafting 2 talented Corners to play with one starting as rookies...similar to the 2012 Snead draft where we got JJ & Tru in rounds 2 & 3. If not I would settle for the 2014 type Snead draft when we drafted a Nickle corner, a safety & a outside corner with the 2nd, 4th & 6th rd selections 2 started early the 3rd started his 2nd season...either type drafts will do fine. With Snead drafting record on DB's there is no reason to go UFA direction...IMO den do that with the OL instead.

If there is a CB in the first available that can be a starter and then you might have to wait until the 4th round because a NT will be needed as well in round three. Butler might be too expensive, but one would surmise there should be a CB available that Phillips likes in free agency, hell, maybe Jenkins comes back.

Might be a case of simply holding Ogletree out until the Seahawks game due to its importance

Want to bet that when Bones found out he lost his gunner on ST's due to looking for interior LB'er that Bones let it be known that Cameron Lynch was his & Wade's best bet? I do know that Bones was very fond of Cameron's special team plays!

I been looking & reading a bunch on potential Nose's in the upcoming draft too. I got a chance to watch a ton of Poe the last two weeks & I am "no go" on him not worth the $$ he will demand. The Rams originally had Tyrunn Walker under a 2 yr econo contract but they released him. So TW remains on the potential lists of Noses in 2018. NT Ethan Westbrooks had his best game of the season last week with 2 sacks & 4 Tacks. The Nose is a concern when we face good running teams with some good sized backs.

New Years day we will get to see two NT's play Christian Wilkins 6-4 315 & Da'Ron Payne 6-2 310. Bama vs Clemson. If indeed a NT is on the high priority lists then Snead might trade our of the first rd to gather some extra selections throw in a Tavon Austin to secure that top Nose prospect in the 2nd round. Then use that extra selection to get his several DB's with a couple of 3rd & 4th rd'ers too. We will see what a big back can do against us & just how bad we need a talented NT.

I do expect that center Jason Kelce will silence Westbrooks & RB LeGarrette Blount under 6 ft & over 250 plus pounds, will have a very big day in LA like he did last time he was here in 10-1-2017 against the LA Chargers. He ran for 136 yds for his only 100 yds game thus far. I do think that this Eagle team will put up some serious running yard totals tomorrow afternoon. Jay Ajayi is not a small back either.

Watch the play he put himself in between the defender and the ball and broke up the pass its pretty obvious if you watch it

Get back to me tomorrow after the game, if he plays well, I will gladly dine on crow.
