Wow ... that's nuts, with or without Watson.

But, think about it this way ...

We didn't run the ball well against the Giants.
We didn't place great run defense against the Giants.
We didn't rush the passer very well against the Giants.

And we still won 51-17.

This team is scary. Going to put another beating on the Texans next week, it's going to be ugly.

Tom Savage was 19 of 44 for 220yds. That might have something to do with it. Still, Vegas might be over reacting just a tad.

162 yards, 4.2 ypc, 2 TDs

I know what the numbers say, they can lie ...

Gurley had 59 yards on 16 carries. 45 of that on the first two carries of the game. Leaves 14 carries for 14 yards ....

We did not control the game on the ground today. There were several splash runs by Tavon and the one by Gerald Everett.

Want to see a dominate running game performance? Revisit the Jags game.

They weren't dominant, but they ran well. Splash plays and big gains are still a part of the game. It's not the same as Fournette's performance against the Rams where it's 1 big play, it was 5-6 big plays. Brown ran well despite the Giants knowing the Rams were going to run it.

I find it horseshit a 3-5 team is favored over a 6-2 team. Of which the 3-5 team just lost to the Colts a team the 6-2 team completely destroyed 46-9.

Wait what? Aren't they -11 which means they are not favored? If that's not the case I'm making an account with Vegas right fucking now!

The RAMS are favored by 11 points.

People think the line is about what the final score will be.

It's not.

It's risk mitigation.

The purpose of the line isn't to adjust so that "line" will effectively even the final score.

The "odds" or the "line" is to balance the amount of money that comes in so that the house can make money no matter who wins.

Thus, after a big win against a Giants team that does have talent and the Texans having key injuries, the way to get people to bet on the Texans is to raise the points given to them so that people will think "wow, now I think I'll bet differently than if I were just betting the winner.

Sometimes the game is pretty close, looks to be close and the "line" does function in the way people think.

But the big clue is ANY time a team is given more than 10 points, that's about balancing the betting flow. The ONLY reason the house would give away that many points is to entice people to bet what typically is a losing proposition. And in the NFL, that works with fans because "any given Sunday".

Amazing when the preseason lines had us an underdog in every game this year.

Couldn't careless about the Vegas odds, just beat them to a bloody pulp. Especially after the Dodgers lost the World Series to the Astros.

I know it's conspiratorial, but I called that before the Series.

It seems every city that has a natural disaster befall it wins a National title for one team.

Both NY football teams were terrible, so the Patriots...the Patriots just HAD to win after 9/11. I called that during the playoffs BEFORE that who tuck rule debacle.

New Orleans had to win after Katrina.

Houston had to win after Harvey.

I don't mean to take anything away from New Orleans or Houston (I couldn't care less about taking everything from the Cheatriots).

I just find the repeated coincidence...unsettling.

Trap game like no other. On paper, we should annihilate them, but those are the games that are always scary. Any given Sunday anything can happen. We need to stay focused and never look past an opponent... but even more so... we need to play well at home which we haven't done the best of thus far

What I like about Savage is he can't run, love when the Rams play a QB that's a stationary target.

How much did the Rams pay mind to the their being a 6 point favorite at Met Life this last Sunday?
yeah, we won by 34 points.

Favored by 11 against a Watt-less, Jackson-less, statuesque QB like Savage directing the game? Rams might have more sacks than the Texans score points. The rest of the NFL looks like a big ole steak to this Rams beast of a team....and the beast is gonna eat.

The 2017 LA Rams will not have a SINGLE trap game this season.

I have to disagree a little bit!
We didn't run the ball well against the Giants.
We rushed for roughly 150 yards vs 111 for the Giants!
We didn't place great run defense against the Giants.
We only gave-up 17 points to the Giants!
We didn't rush the passer very well against the Giants.
We had 2 sacks - 2 Forced Fumble Recoveries and 1 INT!

But you are right, the Rams are "Scary" and the Beating we will put on the Texans will remind them of the Alamo!!(y)
