Morning Ram-blings: The L.A. survey
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/12911/morning-ram-blings-the-l-a-survey

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The stops and starts for the NFL returning to Los Angeles have been too numerous to count over the past two decades, but it seems that the league is finally starting to work toward an actual end game.

Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reported earlier this week that the NFL is actually taking tangible steps to gauge the city's interest in bringing a team back to Los Angeles.

In this case, the step is coming in the form of a survey to Los Angeles area residents asking them to quantify their interest in attending NFL games again and more.

Farmer, who has had his finger on the pulse of the situation for years, offered this context behind it:

"The fact that the NFL is conducting a survey is not necessarily earthshaking news, nor is it an indication that a return to L.A. is imminent. However, it is an incremental step in the process, indicating that the league has intensified its attention on the nation's second-largest market."

Of course, there's been plenty of speculation about the St. Louis Rams becoming the team that would be playing there. That speculation isn't going to go away anytime soon. At least in this case, there's actual information to work with rather than hearsay or rumors.

At KC, at SF, at Arizona, Denver, at SD....yes, the next 5 games are a major test for the team and Davis.
I think the team can compete with any of these teams, possible exception being Denver. If Davis plays well in this stretch (regardless of win total) it will be hard to deny him his shot. I am not ready to say he is the long term guy yet. The rest of the year or next year too will determine that. I keep waiting for DCs to get film adjust and make life hard on him.
