Morning Ram-blings: Summer trades?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/8827/morning-ram-blings-summer-trades

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- With the draft and the meat of free agency over, it's unlikely the St. Louis Rams will make any more major roster moves between now and training camp. That's probably the case for most of the league.

But the folks at NFL.com put together a piece earlier this week offering 10 potential summertime trade candidates and the teams who could pursue those players.

Among the names on the list are Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder, New England quarterback Ryan Mallett, Tennessee offensive tackle Michael Roos and others. There are no Rams on the list and the team isn't listed as a possible suitor for any of the players mentioned.

That's probably the case after the team finalizes a deal with guard Davin Joseph. They won't have much in the way of salary cap space to take on any potential additions and sign their rookie class.

It is not, however, out of the question that the Rams could look to shop some of their players eventually. It might not happen until training camp but a player like running back Isaiah Pead would make sense as potential trade bait. It's already been rumored that the Rams attempted to move Pead during the draft but found no takers.

The market for those players probably wouldn't be much and the Rams aren't likely to get anything in return but if injuries accumulate for a few teams in certain camps, perhaps something could develop.

Either way, the bulk of the team's offseason heavy lifting is complete.
