Morning Ram-blings: Needs at QB
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/6891/morning-ram-blings-needs-at-quarterback

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- It's no secret that plenty of teams around the NFL are in need of some form of quarterback help. Be it a starter, a backup or both, you'd be hard-pressed to find a team that's completely set and comfortable with its depth chart at the game's most important position.

Make no mistake, the St. Louis Rams are included in that group. Depending on who you talk to, they could even be a team that needs to be in the market for a starter. But as coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead have said emphatically, they stand behind starter Sam Bradford and have no intent to draft or sign a potential replacement this offseason.

On Wednesday, ESPN NFL insider columnist Mike Sando took a look at 13 teams in need of help at quarterback. The Insider piece ranked the teams in need from one to 13 and the Rams did indeed make an appearance. Of course, Sando is well aware of the team's current thoughts on quarterbacks and placed the Rams 12th on his list.

Here's what Sando had to say about the Rams' need for quarterback reinforcements:

"Sam Bradford is the starter, but is he the future? The Rams let backup Kellen Clemens go to San Diego. They've been talking to Shaun Hill. It's probably time to draft a QB just in case Bradford doesn't stick."

I have little doubt the Rams will be drafting a quarterback this year, probably some time in the middle rounds. I also expect them to add a veteran with Hill remaining the most obvious choice. But when it's all said and done, while the Rams' needs at quarterback might not be as pressing as teams such as Oakland or Houston, it should be enough of a priority to be addressed at some point in May's draft.
