Rams need to start a new jersey trend in their NFL shop

Put the coach's name on a jersey and sell that MFer. I don't know of any teams that do that, i.e. market their head coach, but if any organization were ever positioned to do so it's the Rams.

Something like...

100 Phillips

Or maybe just use the doublenuts (00) with both coaching staff members. But both those dudes are rock stars now in LA and the Rams, IMO, are missing an opportunity.

Oh and while I'm being all "critiquey" with jerseys, the Rams need to do a better job with the throwbacks, and also take a look at how small the numbers are on their blue and yellow jerseys. That needs to be fixed. I don't like wearing my Goff 16 that I bought last year due to the small numbers looking wrong.

I really like the idea of having jerseys for the coaches. They could even have some fun with it like "GOALLMCVAY," or, "PHILLIPSGAS." Man those are terrible, but you are what I mean. Or you can just keep classy, which is so out of my league.

They will not allow the # 420 though... I wanted it, but got denied.

But I'm into instant gratification. When I buy a jersey I like to see that MFer in the overnight box on my porch. :eek:

Which is why I want them to also do a better job with throwbacks, since I prefer to use the team store over another well known venue (who will remain unnamed) that takes FOREVER.

The avg coaches tenure isn't that long, and if it is, it's probably because they haven't premier talent on their team. If you were a Saints fan, would you rather have a Brees or a Peyton jersey? I'm going to puke, but would Pats fans choose Belichek over Brady? In our GSOT era, would you really have a Martz or Vermeil jersey over Warner, Faulk, Bruce or Holt?

It may be me personally, but I only buy jerseys of players that had a contract extension, so I can wear it as long as I can. I have Jackson and Quinn, and thank goodness Gurley got one. I'll get a Gurley throwback before the season starts. Donald is afterwards (hopefully )

I agree with your plan. I have one jersey; Faulk. My kids have Steven Jackson Jersey and my wife has a Jackson and a Bruce. I don't like the cost of a new Jersey, but even more so I don't like a Jersey with a players name that flamed out quickly, or left the team after four years. If I had a Bettis Jersey, for instance, I wouldn't wear it. I also don't wear Jeremy's of marginal players, like Laurinitis.
