NEW ORLEANS • The Rams have lost another member of their scouting department, only this time the departure was a voluntary decision.

Debbie Pollom, who joined the Rams in 1992 as a player personnel assistant and was promoted to director of scouting administration in 2001, has left the Rams to take a similar job with NFC West rival Arizona.

“I love the Rams,” Pollom told the Post-Dispatch. “I love Coach (Jeff) Fisher. I can’t tell you how tough it was to leave. But I go way back with Steve Keim, and it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”

Keim was named general manager of the Cardinals earlier this month. Last year at this time, he was considered a strong candidate for the Rams’ GM job that went to Les Snead.

Pollom interviewed with the Cardinals a couple of weeks ago. She will be an executive assistant in Arizona, wearing many hats and helping to coordinate some of the Cardinals’ scouting efforts.

Nearly three week ago, the Rams fired assistant director of college scouting John Mancini as well as area scouts Drew Casani and Luke Driscoll.
