I still want Wisniewski, Barnes is a fine backup but thats it.

Wiz didn't get much play last year and doesn't seem to be getting much this year. Hmmmm, maybe GM's know something you don't. Rams are just fine at center. Give it up and spend the $$ on other needs.

You obviously have way too much faith in Barnes...

Affordable contract. They're covered worst case and can draft a good center if/when value is there. I'm ok with this.

Wasn't Barnes like the 30th rated center in the NFL or something?

Barnes graded 29 out of 39. Mid-season he was one up from dead last, so he did show improvement in the second half of the season.

Here's another thing to consider.
In 2011 4 of 5 of Denver's O-linemen graded out poorly. In the red. Negative.
In 2012 4 of 5 of those SAME linemen graded out positively. In the green. By a lot.
The only difference was the addition of Peyton Manning in place of Orton and Tebow.

Get the right QB and everything about the line improves.
(and they did improve as a unit when Keenum took over, btw).
