(KSDK Sports) -- We've talked about the Rams needing to add weapons for quarterback Sam Bradford, but equally true was the need for the Rams to beef up their protection for him.
Simply put, for Bradford to succeed, it's no secret that he needs time in the pocket. In 42 career games he's been sacked 105 times, that's more then 2 per sacks per game. It is why the Rams signed four time Pro Bowl Tackle Jake Long.
Long was the third offensive tackle ever to be drafted 1st overall when he was selected in 2008 out of Michigan. In his professional career, he earned four straight Pro Bowl nods between his rookie season and 2011, so he knows a thing or two about protecting a quarterback.
