The last two years have been spectacular for LA fans of football and baseball. Winning regularly is only one of the elements that link the Rams and Dodgers. The following paragraphs list several more.

Both teams boast the best player in their respective sport. Aaron Donald and Cody Bellinger are the headliners and most dominant players in the world this past year.

Both teams made it to the championship game only to lose in heartbreaking fashion.

Both teams gain the headlines over their sister teams in opposing divisions (Chargers/Angels)

Both teams utilize the most advanced analytics to build, train, and coach their teams. Their drafts and personnel developed have them positioned to remain perennial powerhouses for years to come.

I encourage by Ram brethren to add to this list.

Cheers

Dodgers and Rams gave me 3 championship round losses in 15 months. Though that is better than being irrelevant.

Dodgers are a powerhouse organization with incredible scouting and layers of talent at all levels of their system. Hard to replicate that in the year to year NFL. But a great staff and competent FO is key. Rams have that.

Donald is the best player in the NFL, and LA does have the best baseball player but he doesn't play for the Dodgers

Yeah and I feel so sorry for Mike Trout. Was surprised when he signed with the Angels tbh. Hopefully they'll get a team around him so he can experience some more postseason in his prime.

I'm living in New York and I'm all Los Angeles....Dodgers, Rams, Lakers & Kings. With Football always being my first love. Over the years the Dodgers always the bridesmaid never the bride, but those Bums (they called that in Brooklyn) broke many hearts in Brooklyn too.

Tough when your team is on the cusp of greatness, but just comes up a bit short and that's a bitter pill to swallow, however, it sure beats sucking as the Rams did plenty of that before McVay. Dodgers great farm system always have and hitters have finally learned to hit in Chavez Ravin, but some of those years were like Root Canal.

As to the similarities they both have Blue in the uniform, they both did come from different cities and both teams did their part the Dodgers with Jackie Roosevelt Robinson and the Los Angeles Rams in the Post World War II era with Kenny Washington, who might have been even better in both sports than Robinson.

Moving to Seattle has caused me to become a much bigger Lakers and Dodgers fan, gotta represent all things LA now!

They both got new owners/management relatively recently.
Funny how that works.

Bellinger is an awesome player, but there are a couple of other guys that you could make the case who have been equally as impressive. Yelich and Trout have been awesome in their own right. Hell, even Bell has been insane. In the NFL, Mack is the only other guy who came close to being the defensive player that Donald was last year.
