Does anyone know what their exact policy is on this? So far every event I see them offering and advertising is pretty much exclusively no access to camera or video equipment. I really wanted to cover the Rams after they returned. For the fans. Now everything I show up to is making me leave my expensive camera gear in the trunk.

Cheerleader tryouts? No cameras.

Draft Party? No camera?

OTAs? No cameras?

Meet the Rams event? No camera?

Legends game? No cameras.

Training camp?!?!?!

Rams games at Coliseum? No cameras?

Does anyone have any idea what we CAN bring them to? I had big plans for training camp!

I posted on the other site you put this in but will answer here as well. In the Lou if training camp was open to the public they didn't restrict anything... at least not still photography. Video recording may be a different story for obvious reasons but I never tried nor saw anyone trying to so I don't know for sure if they would have restricted it. And every year there were plenty of photo threads in all the Rams sites I'd visit plus I never had a problem taking pictures.

As for everything else they never bothered with all that other fancy fan interaction in the Lou aside from draft parties but those were usually limited to PSL owners I think (never went to one). I also took many pictures inside the dome of games I'd go to so that wasn't restricted. And a lot of those were before cellphones so I had an actual camera with me not a sneaky iphone or whatever.

Oh and the august scrimmage they'd usually do people would take pictures at as well so don't think that was restricted.

The guidelines in STL for training camp were still photos were allowed. Almost impossible to control given smart phone capabilities these days. But video cameras (even if shot on your phone) is forbidden. In fact there were some who tried and if caught were escorted out.

There weren't many who brought camera equipment. So one might be cautious about taking elaborate stuff.

I'm sure the guidelines will be posted on the website as to what is and isn't allowed prior to the start of camp it always has been in the past.

Thanks again Psycho! I saw your other response and this one is even better! I appreciate it bro.

I saw they have a scrimmage game scheduled on August 6th at the Coliseum. That was one of the events I wanted to know about. I know this Legends game specifically says no cameras though, so I guess no hope for that one.

I have a humongous full frame camera with big lenses. It's hungry. It wants to take pictures.

Just got done hearing someone on a different forum talk about how awesome your camp reports were in St. Louis. I don't think I ever had the privilege of reading one though. If you're the same Coach O that is. Nice to meet you! And thanks for the reply!

Like I said above, I have a big full frame camera and big lenses. Do you know what their policy was on tripods? If any.

I will keep an eye on the website for that information. Thank you!

His camp reports were amazing, we were lucky to have them. I'm about ready to get a kickstarter going to pay for flights and lodging in Oxnard for him so we don't have to go without.

I'm pretty sure that tripods are NOT allowed unless you have some sort of media credentials. You may want to contact the Rams directly and ask them firsthand.

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed sharing my observations. And when it's all said this summer is going to got be the hardest part of them leaving for me.

As much as I loved being a season ticket holder, (haven't missed a game in 18 years), not being able to attend training camp is the worst part.

Sorry to hear about and bring up the bad memories. I remember when the Rams left LA the first time and the gut wrenching feelings of attending the last game and saying goodbye. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

I think I will contact the Rams directly. I doubt tripods are allowed inside while the players are practicing, monopods maybe. I just thought it might be different behind a big crowd but probably not.

I'm hoping to carry on the tradition of everyone before me at Rams camp. I have my own style and flavor I'm sure. I put myself in a good position to do something real nice at Rams camp, depending on my limitations. Without saying too much too soon.

You should link some of your stuff sometime so I can check it out. I used to check out camp reports at some websites each year but apparently not all of them.

Maybe start a blog and join a media association so you can get a press pass.
