How do they expect to practice, spring/summer/early fall outdoor in Vegas?

Special heat dispersing uniforms.

It looks like an alien spaceship or something, and the simple shape of it will age well. Also the location by the strip is excellent, though they're going to need to create foot traffic and people mover type options underneath I-15 to connect to the other side which I'm sure is in-work. Probably the thing I like best about the design is the large window view of the main portion of the strip from inside the stadium very cool.

So yeah. I still think the Raiders lucked into the best setup in the league. And being a national brand type team they'll draw exceptionally well there due to fans of them and opponents flying in for games. It's kind of funny how Davis' idiot son ended up with a move that outdid his Pops. Since my kid's out there I like to fly in, scoop some edible THC, party a bit, and now will be able to choose between NHL and NFL games. Pretty psyched about that.

Thinking about flying to LA for one of our home games too this upcoming season, depending on availability of hotels there in Inglewood. I usually stay in Long Beach but last time the traffic was so fuckin brutal I don't want to endure that again.

Yeah excited about Davis and the black hole idiots ripping off my state for that stadium and practice facility.

One thing I forgot to say is that I didn't visualize where the stadium would be located until this video. The Mandalay Bay looks to be the Hotel Casino of choice near the venue. I believe there are pro-boxing events held at the casino as well. I bet the Vegas strip gets really developed south of the new stadium, which I don't remember much being there casino-wise. McCarran International airport has to be very close on the east side of the new stadium, if not right next to it...

I used to live in a 150 dollar a week hotel right on the south end of the strip, and walk to the casinos every day to gamble, that was one of the best times of my life.

Not gonna lie, I miss living in Vegas. Just everything being open so late, bars everywhere, etc. As you get older it gets better too, what with the discounts for seniors. My family originally moved out there because grandpa loved the ponies/sportsbook and he'd sit there all day and eat/drink for peanuts.

Thinking at some point I'm gonna buy a condo near the strip. It's one of the few places that can make you feel like a kid when you're not lol.

I was at the Cosmopolitan on the strip on March 4-8 just before the virus went nuts. To see that stadium in person, it's truly breathtaking. They really did a top notch job.

I am actually excited about this stadium too, but not because of the Raiders. I think it would be more likely that I would travel to Vegas to see the Rams vs Raiders than to LA. Not hating LA, but there is just more Adulting possible in Vegas, and in closer proximity in Las Vegas....:sneaky:
I bet this stadium becomes a primary visiting NFL destination because of its location.

The raiders will never have a homefield advantage, and when teams play there (especially the Cowboys, packers, and steelers) it'll be 50% opposing fans. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I suspect the Vegas fanbase will surprise the NFL just like it did the NHL.

Knights games for example... Folks said the same thing about their games would be half visitors. But not only are they heavy Vegas crowd but that venue has been the loudest and most charged venue in the NHL since day one.

Vegas fans are starved for this man. It's gonna be fun to watch how things end up.

I think there will be a ton of this.
If you were a mid west fan....or east coast....and wanted to road trip to a game, what is a better long weekend trip than Vegas?
Bears bs Raiders or Chiefs vs Raiders once it gets cold.....stadium will 60% road fans.

From Utah. Friends of mine and I had planned to be in Vegas for the draft. I was really excited to see this stadium up close. There may not be a better stadium to represent a franchise in any sport.

tklongball Thanks for the post. Enjoyed the show. Not a Davis fan, but I thought his treatment of the workers was very classy.
Posting a link that popped up in recommendations. AD touring SoFi.
Not sure if it has already been posted, but this seemed like a good place to put it.

Just imagine walking around a facility built by people who make about as much money a year as you have hanging around your neck.

Oh, I swear, along the freeway, Vegas has some enhancements along some of the off-ramps. Right by the stadium, they have some Rams, maybe made of metal? I recall seeing them but didn't get a photo. They are fairly close to the stadium heading west on the 15 at W. Russel Road maybe? I thought they are pretty cool.

I think you're right, at least for awhile. Such is sports in the West vs the East.
