I'd rather we kneel then do that non-sense... I've seen it about 50 strait times now by various teams- starts off as a 20 yard gain and ends up as a 10 yard loss with a fumble every time.

Miami beat NE 2 years ago.

Music City Miracle never would have happened.

It fails more often than not, but it has worked in the past.

If it worked today you would be singing a different tune for sure

music city miracle... that's not even close to the same thing - that was one lateral on special teams - not 13 laterals by 6 different players

I'll give you the miami one.. that was like 2/3 laterals...

Why do you like to make the game less fun?

The Rams could have had the ball around mid field with a couple seconds left if the WR stepped out of bounds. Much rather take a chance on a hail mary than that stupid lateral play

I would prefer my team to try to win still, regardless of the odds, even if it results in failing, appearing desperate, losing yards, looking stupid, even at the risk of provoking your annoyance.
If there is a chance, their job is to try.

Had they kneeled the 15 seconds away, I would be extremely disappointed.

I'm not saying kneel.. but like try to gain 20 years then get out of bounds or something.

yep woods could have ran out of bounds around the 50 with time still left.

And as bad as the refs were in this game, who knows, could even draw a PI downfield.
Better chance of hitting a pooch punt and having Buffalo fumble it than converting that stupid Cal/Stanford nonsense

.

the chargers could have won the game with the lateral pass from allen to ekeler but ekeler dropped it.

i still don't understand why nfl teams don't hire rugby league coaches to teach players how to pass the ball backwards with greater accuracy and incorporate it into the gameplan. just watch some rugby league tries to see how it's done and how easy it is to score instead of trying to block ahead of the runner.

If you do 2 or 3 laterals then 1 out of 10,000 it might work... but once you start chucking it 5,6,7,8 times it just ends up being negative yardage with a fumble.

But i think that is a smart idea - study some rugby tactics
