since last years event was so popular I am bringing this back again. I will set up the sportsbook to enter later today.

Last year we had 33 entries with @Curt760 taking home the title with a 2 point win over @WarnerToBruce

see below for details

It will be 10k to enter (place wager in sportsbook)

Participants will rank each team from 1 -14..with the higher ranking going to the team most likely to win the SB

Each playoff week you will get the amount of points based on your team rankings ( i.e.) if team you ranked an 8 gets the win over team you ranked 3, you get 8 points. If Team ranked 3 wins, you get 3 points)

each week will have 1 tiebreaker game and you pick the total points scored

After the Super Bowl, player with the most win totals will win. Ties will be broken by lowest point differential in tie breaker games

Prizes determined by amount of entrys

Winner- 60%

2nd place- 30%

3rd place- 10%

After all the playoff teams are set...PM me your picks and tie breaker score. The game used for the tiebreaker will always be the last game played each weekend, and I will also post the tie breaker game in this thread

if you have any questions ask them here please, so I am not responding to 10 different PM's answering the same question

Question: doesn’t this scoring system make the game open to abuse?

Let’s say that I think Baltimore will win the Super Bowl. If I rank them at 1, the most I can win is 3 points (wins in divisional round, AFCCG and SB). If I rank them at 14, then the same results net me 42 points.

you would rank Baltimore at 14 if you think they will win SB... the object is to score the highest amount of points

Okay- I thought that the above meant that the higher ranking would be number 1.

So a 14 to the team most likley to win the SB and a 1 to the least likely? I'm pretty sure I played this backwards last year.

I wanted to ask the same question. I figured the low points won.

Turns out I can’t blame lack of understanding for last years vanishing act - @RhodyRams is ruthless - pulled up last years contest to show me that my picks were just shitty.

I know anyone can look this up. But just for ease, can someone post all 14 teams so we have them in one place? Yeah... I'm lazy.

Sounds fun though.
