Fricken Nice man!! Good find.

Man I hope we can find a way to lock up Blythe, Brown and Saffold.

I hate to even say it but if push comes to shove (excuse the Olineman Pun) Saffold because of his age 31 next year may be odd man out if we have to commit long term contracts to some guards. Brown 26 and Blythe 27 next year may be our guards of the future.

People hate on Brown, But him and Blythe are playing at a high level, and both are young enough to lock up long term.

We really need to get a longer look at Allen, because if he don't improve Blythe may be the long term answer at center to replace Old man Sullivan who is now 33.

Blythe was good all game.
If he plays like that again the coaches should have a hard choice to make at RG.

Been watching him close all pre season...Blythe has not let me down. I posted early that I was convinced that he would replace Brown in the first two games. They might ease Jamon Brown back in very slowly. Blythe pass blocking is several ticks up above Brown but Brown may be a tick above Blythe in the run game. Use Blythe early when the passing game is a priority & then ease Brown in when theirs a need to run out the clock late.

This dinky OL'er has a great working brain & understands what he needs to do each & every block. So technically sound its worthy of some high praise. Kromer is the "Magic Man:"

I can not wait to see what Kromer can do with both Noteboom & Allen!

Lol, I never knew what Ann Wilson looked like back in the 70's, but I used to undress her with my ears every time I heard that song. :)

You said it. As the 2nd highest rated tackle in run blocking last season, I thought for sure he was gonna be in high demand after this year (assuming our offense would be high powered again). I also thought that meant we wouldn't be able to afford him.
Obviously, I was stoked when we re-signed him before camp broke.

The FO has made some pretty smart moves this year.

isn't Brown a FA after this season? or is it next? Regardless, If Blythe keeps it up he might make re-signing him a non factor.

Yeah, Brown's a free agent after this season. I still hold out a lot of hope for him to be re-signed because I still am a fan of him. I agree with Texas in that he and Blythe could be our starting guards after this season with Saffold possibly walking.

That is a good point, and would save us a ton of money. Much better option if they continue to beast up and improve.

I have to think Brown's chances of being signed are behind a decimal. Well, ok, maybe just low. I like the dude but they can't pay everyone and have Goff coming up not to mention CB decisions the year after. He'll be one of those positions they save cash on IMO.

I'm not sure Brown is just as good and 40 pounds heavier...Although I don't think you can pass block better than Blythe did against Oakland.

I was having a conversation with a young gentleman yesterday at the office about that very same subject and his response was that the chicks dig it....I put my arm around him and whispered in his ear..."They really don't."

They don't.

It's a terrible look and I worked with a guy who used to wear one and EVERYONE teased him about it.

I am so excited about our Oline, which is a crazy thing to say I know..lol. How could Boureau have been so inept and Kromer so superior? Snead was involved in getting talent forboth Fisher and McVay, so the main variable was Boudreau, friend of Fisher. We drafted three guys this year and all of them seem to be panning out. Blythe is developing into a real starter. How many years was our Oline like a patient on Chemo with little chance of survival?
