Really I think the Packers/Lions game was the single most WTF of the day.

Agreed.
The Rams could have beaten Green Bay, they lost badly to Denver and Detroit beat them at home.
Rogers missed some throws he normally makes today. He played today like he is injured in some way. Ribs or something.
Watching the Panthers I am sure this is sort of how Snisher envisioned the Rams. Green Bay is having some issues lately, injuries among other things, Carolina could be running away with home field this year. Panthers, GB, Arizona....anyone else?

Report: Peyton Manning has torn plantar fascia

The nightmare season for Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is getting worse.

Manning has a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. According to Schefter, Manning had already been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, but the condition has now worsened.

There’s no immediate word on how long a torn plantar fascia will cause Manning to be out. The NBA’s Pau Gasol missed about six weeks with a torn plantar fascia in 2013; if Manning misses that much time he’d be out for the regular season but back for the playoffs.

Of course, if Brock Osweiler plays well in Manning’s absence, the Broncos might not put Manning back on the field for the playoffs. And if Osweiler plays poorly, the Broncos could still miss the playoffs.

Which means it’s possible that Manning’s season, and career, ended yesterday.

Kubiak confirms Osweiler will start, Peyton will sit this week

For the first time since he signed with the Broncos, Peyton Manning will miss a game on Sunday.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak confirmed today that Brock Osweiler will start in place of Manning this week in Chicago.

“Peyton is not going to play. Brock is going to play this week,” Kubiak said.

Third-string quarterback Trevor Siemian will move up to No. 2 on the depth chart this week, and Manning will be inactive on Sunday. But Kubiak did indicate that the Broncos are committed to playing Manning once his injured foot heals.

“All the attention is toward getting [Manning] healthy,” Kubiak said.

So how long will that take? Will Manning be ready to go the following week for the showdown with the Patriots? That’s not clear yet. All that is clear is that for this week, Manning needs some time off.
