Finnegan signed a 2 year 11 million dollar contract with the Dolphins. Rams get an additional 3 million in cap relief.

I hope the Dolphins feel they snubbed us somehow so they'll quit trying. Lol

I hope some of this gets put back into resigning Harvey to a 1 year deal.

Does Finnegan have any gas in the tank? He signed for a nice chunk of change. Guess we weren't looking at him to play safety after all.

I'm not sure how he got that much money. Perfect example of why the Dolphins suck.

That's almost what we'll be paying Saffold over the next two years.

There's cap room and then there's crap room. The Dolphins are full if it.

I expect him to rebound next year. Think he still has a few productive years left

I think we only get that back if he makes it in base salary and makes the 53 man. So I'm guessing we don't have Instant relief

So, we have to manage the cap, however, as if he doesn't make their roster.... Otherwise we could be in deep doo doo and have to cut or rework someone?

Or is the cap savings next year?

CAP savings is this year because the CAP hit was for this year.

This must be the new math they talked about in school. This is a really silly rule. It should be on the contract he signed and that's it. If he gets hit by a bus it shouldn't matter.
I do like the guy so I wish him luck.

CGI_Ram asking for the moon:
But how do we manage the cap if he's cut?
That last answer ate up my whole reserve stash of knowledge. I've got nothing left.

Lol...yeah, that was just another crazy idea that a few fans had that no matter how many times the people in the know said the Rams had never considered it they just kept insisting it might happen.
