Sorry guys a bit OT but my girl just scored me some tickets for October 4th. I'm pretty excited, first time seeing a game at the ED. I haven't been to St. Louis in quite a few years and I'm hoping some of you local guys can help me find a decent hotel. I'm really hoping for something close to the dome so I don't have to worry about parking, etc. I'll just walk, cab it or whatever is best. She is actually talking about using some points to get me a free room. I think Hyatt or Hilton if there is anything like that close.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks-

BW

The one time I went up there to see a game, I stayed at the Drury Inn. It wasn't that nice though, and was quite old. Maybe that was by design? I dunno. But ... I could see the exit of the stadium from my hotel window and it takes 11 seconds to walk there. If you can get by without being in a ritzy hotel, it'll certainly serve the purpose of being close.

There's a fairly nice casino literally across the street from the ED, and I heard that they have an underground walkway to the stadium (though I might be wrong). I heard the hotel attached to the casino is pretty nice. Plus you can hit the blackjack tables before and after the game. I think if I came from out of town with no where to stay, that's probably where I'd go.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I am a casino lover so Lumiere sounds pretty good. Especially if it's that close to the stadium.
Thor-I live in Aurora now a little jaunt from Thornton but not to bad. I don't ski much anymore since I blew my knee out playing b-ball but every now and then.

Can't wait to finally go to a game!

Too bad on the ski thing, I'm 62 and still ski ,hardly ever on black diamonds though, too fat for moguls any more.

Did you get to the Broncos scrimmage at Invesco this summer?,it was a glorious day, we took in the aquarium and then went for the scrim.
My dream SB, Rams Broncos Rams by three

I got reservations at the Westin for the Packers game. Some friends recommended it. Most places are booked for that week. So better check out availability ASAP.

I'm actually looking for some good restaurant recommendations.

I can still ski, but I guess between work and my daughter I just don't have a ton of time to. But I took her up to Frasier hill to do some tubing. That was a blast!
No, didn't make it to any practices but I think we are going to the Saints game which should be really good.
I like your dream, that would be awesome. As much as I like the Broncos, that's the only outcome I like :)

I like the restaurant at the Westin.

The last time I was there Boomer Esiason was using a room off the lobby for pregame filming. After the game, he sat at the table next to me. So, you might check out if there using that hotel to host the game announcers.
