We Ram fans will be cheering for the Niners this Sunday to beat the Bears b/c if the Rams beat the Cardinals and the Niners win, we will secure a bye in the playoffs provided we win our last game against-you guessed it--the 49ers.

And they say Politics makes Strange Bedfellows.

Jack!
No Ram fan will ever be “cheering” for the 49ers
That’s impossible. You can’t be a Ram fan and cheer for Satan’s Friends. End of story. Period. Just by definition you can’t. The mere thought makes me want to drink kerosine and wash my eyes out with battery acid

* What you can do as a Ram fan though is root for the Bears to lose

That way all is well

I think that if the Bears lose, all the Rams have to do is beat the Cards to get the bye... then the Whiners game won't matter in that regard...

If the Rams can't handle their own business by beating two bad teams , then no use worrying about beating anyone in the playoffs.

We don't need the 49ers to beat the bears to get a bye in the playoffs. If we beat the Cardinals and 49ers to close out the season, we get the bye.

Personally I'm hoping Rams take care of business both games. Do that and I will feel a little better about them going into the playoffs.

I'll go on record here saying: I won't be cheering for the 49ers (spit), Sunday or any other time.

Ps. That also applies for the team from Minnesota, if the case should ever apply.

True but it lowers them in the draft anyway. So there is that bright spot if they win.

I suspect the Bears are going to be in the 49ers backfield quite a lot.

I'm going to actually root for the Seahawks this weekend (for the first time in my adult life). A Chiefs loss increases the chances of an all-LA Superbowl.

I am hoping the last game doesn't mean abything so Gurley van sit and we can see Brain Allen at C and Noteboom at LT... Goff would probably play a half, then those guys could get time. Also Kiser for Barron and the back ups on the DL. I want to see what they can do while resting guys like Suh, Sullivan and Whitworth who need time off.

While I agree to a certain point with what you're saying and have noted that the O-line needs a rest, I am troubled by our experience in last season's playoff loss after resting our starters in the 49ers game. Not to mention the obvious lethargy and loss of momentum after our recent bye.

It's a pickle. Do we rest Gurley and the O-line to keep them fresh or do we win these last two games with all the starters playing and build momentum heading into the playoffs? This is why McVay and the coaching staff get paid the big bucks. Glad I don't have to make that decision.
