BTW--Seems the Eagles played the search for a new QB game pretty well, Rams failed miserably.
Because Teddy Bridgewater had a fluke, potentially career threatening injury the week before the season started. If not for that, the Eagles are in Cap held, and the QB situation is a mess as either Wentz or Daniel isn't dressing for games.

The idea that the Rams could have gotten something for Foles is just silly.
He was dreadful last year and his only value was as a flyer to be a back up. And the guy that took a shot on him was the only guy that was familiar with his game, in Andy Reid who drafted him.
If Foles had trade value, why didn't KC trade him then??

x...who's more "Brilliant"? Rams with Goff or Eagles (who drafted behind the Rams) with Wentz and a 1st & 4th from Minni, Because thats how the Bradford Foles deal has shaken out. Eagles appear to be clear winners, thats unless Goff outplays Wentz at some point.
You answered your own question.
Nobody knows yet.

He didn't have to be in the complex. As long as he was still contracted to the team. If nothing happened during preseason and they needed a roster spot they could cut him then. To let him go for $75k was funny, in a ridiculous kind of way. A team worth billions worried about 75k. Not the smartest move they ever made.

.
Fisher let him go early so he could hook up with another team in camp and not be behind the 8-ball due to needlessly holding onto him. Say whatever you want about Fisher, but he still treats players the right way and doesn't screw them for no reason or out of spite. It wouldn't have done anyone any good to keep him on the roster while he was actively holding out and demanding a release.

Also, it was $750K, not $75K. Foles reduced the guarantee in his base salary from $1.75M to $1M.

"That's like, just a buncha' facts, man". Has no place in this thread.

Not surprised Foles is doing alright. Andy Reid is a QB Whisperer and will get good production out of average QBs, unlike Fisher.

Backup qbs often do a decent job coming in off the bench because the opposing team hasn't game planned for his tenancies. Give it a couple of games he'll be the same old turd.

Are you sure of that? I thought his base salary wasn't guaranteed. He reportedly gave back $75k of the bonus money they had already paid him so they would release him.

Edit - just checked and you're right. He gave back $750k of his bonus back.

Fuck Folds. I watched some of his shit play on RedZone. He was still holding onto the ball WAY too long. That guy works in one speed only... Slow Motion.
