PFT’s Week 15 picks
Posted by Mike Florio on December 14, 2017
Rams at Seahawks
MDS’s take: In a huge game for the NFC West race, I like the Seahawks to do just enough on defense to slow down the Rams’ high-scoring offense, and Russell Wilson to make a couple of big plays late to win a close game.
MDS’s pick: Seahawks 28, Rams 27.
Florio’s take: The Rams got their nine wins, but they may not get their playoff berth.
Florio’s pick: Seahawks 27, Rams 24.

CHRIS SIMMS
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
The matchup between the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams is one of the best of the week. The big thing here is that the Rams are the better overall team without question. What makes this tough to pick is the fact the Seahawks are at home and have Russell Wilson at quarterback.
Let's remember, though, that the Rams controlled the game the first time these two teams met this season. While Seattle ultimately won, it was largely because of mistakes from Jared Goff. I don't see him playing as poorly this time around, especially against a banged-up Seahawks defense.
While Wilson is fantastic and always gives Seattle a chance, guys like Aaron Donald and Mark Barron will make it difficult for him to take off and run. I don't expect him to struggle as much as he did in the loss to Jacksonville last week, but I don't expect him to make his usual magic either.
Expect Wilson and the Seahawks to fall just short in another physical battle between division rivals.
Prediction: Rams 24, Seahawks 23

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1.5)
This one is huge. Despite Seattle having the home field and already owning a win over the Rams, Los Angeles is just the more explosive and well-rounded team right now. A changing of the guard happens in the NFC West. MY PICK: Rams.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-1 1/2)
Jared Goff blew an opportunity to close out the Eagles, and it will cost the Rams in losing control of the NFC West a week later. The Seahawks will come out flying at home to make up for their latest slow start in Jacksonville. They'll swarm to contain Todd Gurley so they can tee off on Goff. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson, with his mobility, his big arm and Jimmy Graham, will have his way with a hurting Rams defense.
PICK: Seahawks win 27-17 and cover the spread.
