Bucky Brooks
Jeff Fisher is an outstanding coach, but he faces a daunting task in rebuilding the Rams into consistent winners. He has a legitimate starting quarterback in Sam Bradford, but the talent around him needs to develop quickly for him to maximize his potential.
Prediction: 5-11, fourth in NFC West

Daniel Jeremiah
Jeff Fisher has brought optimism back to the Rams organization. If they can protect quarterback Sam Bradford, they will make a drastic improvement in the win column.
Prediction: 7-9, third in NFC West

Adam Schein
Jeff Fisher will have the Rams as a tough out on game day. But they need time to retool this program.
Prediction: 6-10, fourth in NFC West

Steve Wyche
The Rams make strides faster than anyone thinks. Sam Bradford finally gets to form and a better-than-average defense makes things rough for the unsuspecting.
Prediction: 7-9, third in NFC West

In the Spotlight: Sam Bradford
A healthy, effective season would not only finally justify Bradford’s existence as a former No. 1 overall pick in the draft, it would also spark some genuine confidence to start the Jeff Fisher era. Nobody seems to deny Bradford has the goods to be an elite quarterback, but on a team that’s won just 15 games in the last five seasons he’ll need to elevate his game to a place that brings his teammates along for the ride.

3 Pivotal Games

Week 1 at Lions
Last time these two teams played, the Lions thumped the Rams, 44-6, as they began to shift the momentum in Detroit. Now, St. Louis wants some of the turnaround action -- and a win to start the season against a now-formidable opponent would certainly do the trick.

Week 7 vs. Packers
It’s hard to imagine St. Louis will be ready to play with the big boys in time for this matchup, but the Rams’ best midseason out-of-division test should still provide an idea of what to expect from the rest of the year.

Week 10 at 49ers
The 49ers have recently and rapidly taken control of the NFC West, and it’s currently unknown which of the other three teams in the division will give them the best challenge. The Rams have beaten the 49ers just once since 2008.
