As per @Mojo Ram ‘s great idea to make this a thread, what 7 teams do you see that have a better record than our Rams?

Haven't you heard? We're going for Caleb!!!
But that's fool's errand as I think it's totally impossible to out-tank Arizona. They'll suck with Josua Dobbs (or Clayton Tune) and not much will change when Murray returns. I just can't get that flip from the end zone for the pick 6 during the 2021 Wild Card Game out of my head. Almost everytime I hear his name, that play replays in my head. On occasion it doesn't but it's replaced by one of those where he tries to crawl under the turf to get away from A.D. To think some tried to make that midg.....vertically challenged person one of the top attractions in the NFL.....

So who will have a better record than the Rams in the NFC?

San Francisco? Probably. Great D. But do they not have QB issues?? Really??
Seattle? Geno Smith, again? His 9th year was a charm. So those first 8 were what? An illusion?
Arizona? See the opening paragraph above.
Philly? Now there's a team destined to have a better record than the Rams. If they keep Hurts healthy.
Dallas? With Prescott? Maybe. If he falters...or is injured again....Trey Lance to the rescue!!!
NY Giants? I just can't buy into them.
Washington? I don't think so.
Green Bay? First they lose Davante Adams. Now Aaron Rodgers. LaFleur is gonna need to earn his paycheck this year.
Minnesota? Sure. Cousins is great....right up until he takes a dumb sack or throws a terrible pick!
Detroit? Maybe. But how bad would that be? Worse record than the Lions two years running?
Chicago? No
Tampa? No
New Orleans? A team on the rise but then they went and signed Derek Carr!
Carolina? With a rookie QB? I don't think so.
Atlanta? No.

I lost count, so I don't know. There's probably 6 or 7 teams who will have a better record than the Rams. Let's hope at least every division winner. Hate when those 8-9 teams make the postseason.

Only 4 I see as nearly sure to make the playoffs:

Eagles
Cowboys
Lions
49ers

Plenty of room for a surprise team or two, like the Rams.

I think the Bears will win the North and the Lions will stumble.

1. Niners
2. Cowboys/Eagles
3. Bears
4. Saints
5. Cowboys/Eagles

I think one more will surprise and we will be the 7 seed

Considering the NFC south has to have a representative that doesn't leave much room for the last spot. Not only do we have to hope we exceed expectations, we also have to hope at least one of the second or third place teams doesn't reach expectations. Its a tough road.

The loophole in this thought process is the nfc south. The winner could be 9 and 8 or less. Which means only 6 teams nead to have better records. Just saying. LOL

So who will have a better record than the Rams in the NFC?

Won (next week at Rams) San Francisco? Probably. Great D. But do they not have QB issues?? Really??
Lost (they are who I thought they were) Seattle? Geno Smith, again? His 9th year was a charm. So those first 8 were what? An illusion?
Lost (what's there to say?) Arizona? See the opening paragraph above.
Won (but closer than expected) Philly? Now there's a team destined to have a better record than the Rams. If they keep Hurts healthy.
Won (dominated a bad NYG team) Dallas? With Prescott? Maybe. If he falters...or is injured again....Trey Lance to the rescue!!!
Lost (they looked bad) NY Giants? I just can't buy into them.
Won (over Arizona by 4) Washington? I don't think so.
Won (Impressively) Green Bay? First they lose Davante Adams. Now Aaron Rodgers. LaFleur is gonna need to earn his paycheck this year.
Lost (Impressively) Minnesota? Sure. Cousins is great....right up until he takes a dumb sack or throws a terrible pick!
Won (they'll be in the PS) Detroit? Maybe. But how bad would that be? Worse record than the Lions two years running?
Lost (I'll stick with "no") Chicago? No
Won (On the road vs Cousins) Tampa? No
Won (by 1 over Titans at home) New Orleans? A team on the rise but then they went and signed Derek Carr!
Lost (Rookie QB) Carolina? With a rookie QB? I don't think so.
Won (Over rookie QB) Atlanta? No.
SF at LA Rams: Somebody is gonna be 1-1 next week
Philly vs. Minnesota: Somebody might be 0-2 next week :laugh2:
Dallas vs the Jets
Washington @ Denver
Green Bay @ Atlanta: Somebody else is going to be 1-1
Detroit vs Seattle: Another 0-2 team?
Tampa vs Chicago: Bucs 2-0?
N. Orleans @ Carolina: Saints 2-0?

The losers:
Giants @ Arizona Somebody will be 0-2. But who?
Minnesota @ Philly
Chicago vs Tampa
Carolina vs N.Orleans
Seattle @ Detroit 0-2 or two 1-1 teams?

I just looked at the Rams schedule again and it's just gross. The team could be better than we hoped and still have a shitty record, I fear.

Some of these hot takes have already aged like milk left in the trunk of a car in AZ in July at midday

Week one is always crazy, but this week one felt more like a chiropractic adjustment to put things right after the craziness of last season

Cowboys, Phili, NO wins south, GB wins North, SF wins west that's 5.

Possible WCs - 2 spots up for grabs 5 options - Det didn't look good imo KC gave that game away they aren't that good yet. KC had no Kelce or Jones with both in makes huge difference.

Seattle - maybe, but didn't look good at home against us. Could be 0-2 if they lose to Det at Det.

Minny - lost some key talent over the off-season. So who knows. Could be 0-2 after Phili game.

NYG - looked terrible yesterday not sold on Jones but Daboll is a great HC. Possible big losses on OL

Rams - maybe only 1 win but Offense is strong depends on first 8 games. We have a game up on Seattle.

Not a believer - Chi, TB, Atl, Wash, AZ, Carolina

NFC is way easier conference due to the lack of talent that moved to the AFC. So imo it is wide open outside of SF, Philly, Dallas and 2 conferences winners that are lucky bc of no talent in their division.

Re: the sched the Shitters look like they're in top form early season so this next game might be a reality check for us. But the Bengals looked like dogshit vs the, well, dogshits. We might be catching Cincy in a favorable window with them having protection issues and whatnot.

Either way though I was hoping for 2-2 through the first four and we already have one of those two wins. So can we win one of the next three? Certainly possible. And the back end of our schedule is where we have good opportunity to make up some ground, though of course maybe that looks different a few weeks from now.

For now we're in the division lead and we get to find out this weekend where we are at in this rebuild. If we beat SF then the rebuild officially becomes a reload.
