Hats off to the DEF. But some of the play calling was awful. Bad execution at times as well. Rams had fantastic field position almost all game and were even in the red zone 3 or 4 times and could only muster field goals??? I'm sorry but when you have 4 plays to make it into the end zone inside the 5 yard line (at home) to win the game and you CAN'T punch it in... something is very wrong.

I would have just put the DEF out there, had JJenks take the snap and let the DEF find a way to get the TD. Those guys play with heart. I don't know what the guys on offense are doing.
Not punching it in is certainly disappointing and aggravating but the way they didn't do it is even worse IMO. Okay, they had to try and run Richardson because Stacy was dinged up so I can see why they might not be confident he could get it all the way into the end zone. But closing the formation on 3rd down, stacking the box and telegraphing a running play? Then bringing Stacy in on 4th down then spreading him wide left and emptying the backfield?!? Jeebus, the plan was to remove any possibility of a run after they had gashed them all night long?

It's just idiotic. Even if the Rams knew Stacy's ankle was too bad to run on that doesn't mean the Seahawks did. And if it was that bad then it's a total waste to spread him out wide. You know you're not going to throw it to him so you're basically reducing your offense to 10 players. Out wide he isn't going to bait anyone because no one thinks he's going to get the pass even assuming they thought he was healthy. I'd have much rather had Richardson in there if they were going to split the RB wide and empty the backfield because at least he could run and possibly be an option if things broke down.

Just terrible playcalling at the end. At the very least, they should have run it 3 times in a row with normal formation and a fullback and then decided to maybe go play action on 4th down. But the Rams have been outsmarting themselves all year trying to be cute at the worst times.

Like last week in Carolina. Instead of establishing the run and opening the game with a carry to Stacy they go for a deep pass. Not a bad idea if your line has held up but really an unneeded risk to start a game.

I forgot to record the game....so I'm pissed about that.

I think the playcalling in the redzone contributed to the coaches snatching defeat the the jaws of victory, so I am not content.

But I think the Rams kicked Seahawk azzes all over the field, so I am happy with that.

I'm all three. I'm happy because our D played lights out, the run game looked great, and only one flag all night on our special teams. I'm content that our overall performance kept us in the game until the end and we were not embarrassed in a prime time game. I was getting that feeling that this team is not going to lay down and we could actually still, yes STILL, make a miraculous playoff run. And I'm pissed that we figured out a way to beat ourselves and lose the game basically due to some head-scratching play-calling the last 30 seconds of the game. Felt like a "choke job" by the coaching staff but I guess we weren't seeing what they were seeing, obviously.

I am hopeful. If Bradford had been on the field we would have won. We have two more number one picks in the draft and we should be a force when Bradford comes back next year.

Happy that Zac Stacy hung 134 rushing yards and the way the D played as a team

Pissed that we had to rely on Clemens to win it for us at the end....and that he met expectations :frown:

Next time, don't get my hopes up and lose in that fashion... I went from cloud 9 to wanting to kill the coaching staff. 31 out of 32 NFL teams would have scored or at least given a better attempt in last nights goal line situation...

After some sleep, still pissed. I know it takes time to develop, but it's time to step up. Brian Quick - whenever you're ready. Was that supposed to be a corner route? Janoris Jenkins - blanket somebody, then you can talk smack. Tavon - is a fair catch asking too much?

at first i was mad about the play call - but not anymore in retrospect.

If its stacy, i think they pound it in...but clearly, the coaching staff has as much confidence in DR as the fans on here do in Pead. I wouldn't want DR trying to run it in either - we've seen too many times DR miss a simple hole or gap and result in a yard loss, just running into the back of linemen..

if you wanna be mad, be mad at Givens for dropping the 3rd down screen where it looks like he scores

Physically upset after this one, even more than when we laid a big fat egg against SF

I'm content. Did I think we'd beat the Seahawks? No. Did I think we'd play them that close? No. I was optimistic, but was really just hoping to not be embarrassed on national TV.

Just pissed that I went with my heart in my FF league. I had Taint in my lineup but I needed over 20 pts to win, so I change from Taint to Tavon cause I thought he would give me the best chance at big points, thinking that he was gonna finally break out on MNF. What I sucker I am for my guys. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Taint goes for 29 pts, I would have won.

Embarrassed that we make the FAIL list with the Cowboys this week. Bootleg was right there for the taking and he missed taking it. My hat's off to the Rams D. Epic. If my aunt had nuts blah blah blah, but man, Bradford at QB, no way on God's green earth we lose that game.

I don't know what to think.

The team looks and feels like they are so close to clicking next season to be a contender with a few tweaks...but I've been there too many times and it not come through. I thought they'd be able to get 9 or 10 wins this year, and maybe if Bradford didn't get hurt they'd get close to that but I wouldn't have bet on it after the way the first four games went.

If Bradford played yesterday and the game plan was the same I think they win that game by 10 at least. However, I'm not confident that Shotty calls the same game.

They have got to figure out how to get Austin is space...they run the same friggin screen pass to him every game and the opponent knows its coming.

I mean, what direction does this team go in during the offseason? They obviously aren't a great team so they need upgrades...but there just isn't an area that seems glaring that they haven't already invested in other than one safety spot and guard.

Now, Jake Long I think is an upgrade from last season...but hardly has proven to be an elite dominating player. But they've spent to much money it's hard to envision moving on from him after a season. Same with the receivers to an extent. Quick shows flashes then takes a step back. Is Givens just in the sophomore slump? Does he take off next season like it seems to take some players?

I don't know...a win last night would have been awesome, but I don't really know what you could have taken from it. Sure, we'd have been .500 again...but in the grand scheme of the season what would that have meant? Were we honestly going to start putting everything together and make the playoffs with Clemens? Probably not. Whats the rest of the season going to tell us about next year?

Ahhh...lot's of thoughts going through my mind. Sorry for the randomness...:meh:
