Not really since both were in the employ of Georgia. This Miami set up is unprecedented. Completely driven by an ingratiating access to Fisher.

Dual input within an organization isn't that odd. In my experience Miami's approach is unprecedented. Wouldn't want to be the employee that watched the outsider 'hire' Fisher. Not exactly a vote of confidence IMO.
