McVay said he was suprised by all the cheering when the packers scored.

I'm really not trying to start shit.. because I love Cali... my cousins live out there.

But at some point I'd like to see some Seattle like home chaos.

Didn't like all the loud packers cheering.. and McVay was very subtle about it but you could tell he didn't like it either. He came back and tried to downplay it later because that's his style.

And again don't get me wrong.. being from the midwest I still love them in Cali, but I sure hope the home environment develops....

i'm guessing the rams fans selling their tickets made more money collectively than stan.

it's an embarressment to all involved and the team deserves better.

I get it that the PACK fans travel well and they will have a good following anywhere they play but I always feel that too many fans let making a profit on their tickets overrides their fandom. I too would like to see the Rams have a home field advantage. I wonder how it affects the team's mojo sometimes. Maybe that is why we are so good on the road????:bueller:

I agree it’s bad when the visitor’s crowd outnumbers the home team’s crowd! I hope with time that will end. The packers were stirring up the crowd while the Rams were on offense. Embarrassing and pathetic. It looks like the extra 10k seat tickets sold all went to GB fans.

i get it, people want to make a quick buck to pay for most of their season ticket cost. but man, the rams were 7 and 0 and are entertaining to watch. there should be no reason to sell your ticket. i'm betting the players and coaches are pissed with what they had to go through at their home ground. the only quote they could get out of donald was, "it is what it is".

the only shining light, as has been mentioned before, it hardens them up for the road games and helps them be so good on the road.

The fact that the Rams played in the Midwest for 21 years has something to do with it. When the team left SoCal (based in Anaheim) the vast majority of Rams fans stopped cheering for the team (I was not one of them) and you can't blame them. This allowed for the fans to adopt other teams and the Packers were a popular choice. Also, Los Angeles is a city of transplants--people don't pack up and move back east but come out west for the great weather, the beaches, the eateries, and the million things to do Go West young man. Isn't that what Horace Greeley famously uttered in the 19th century. I grew up going to the Coliseum as my dad had season tickets since 1951. You would find Niner fans when their club came in to play but other teams including GB--absolutely not. Of course I remember when tickets were only $5.50 for the best seat in the house and in 1994 they were $35.00 apiece. Big difference even considering inflation. But I am ever so glad--thrilled we beat those Packers and that Rodgers couldn't get back on the field because of Ramik Wilson's strip and recovery. That shut up those Packer fans for good. Now fly back to the frozen tundra disappointed as all get out.

Ever watch any other game where the Packers are the away team? They travel better than any team in the NFL.

Also, didn’t the dodgers play in the World Series Today?

Well, I'm a Rams fan. I'm also a fan of money. For lots of fans, the money fandom can get bigger than the fandom for the sport, just like many players and owners.

Sure, you might want to say a fan who sells their tickets for significant profit is a "bad fan", but they might call themselves pragmatists and call you a sap and a tool for the sports machine.

To each their own.

One thing that is very noticeable as fans settle in for the start of Game 5 is the increased amount of red shirts in the crowd with Red Sox fans coming out in hopes of seeing their team win the World Series in L.A. tonight. Should Boston go up early, don't be surprised to hear 'Beat L.A.' from the road team chants at Dodger Stadium

Edit: Just in case some yahoo is about to fire off some absurdly overbroad statement about LA fans in general, this is from Yankee Stadium a couple years back:

Kinda like saying STL fans kinda suck and getting ridiculed for stating facts.

This in reality is what the biggest reason behind today's huge fan % debacle. Lot's of people changed their affilation with a team. Imagine if the rams went back to STL after 21 years away how many old fans would have adopted a new team? It happens. With time and winning and the new stadium we will win out in the end!

Love how people only recognize it when Packer fans descend on our game but have no clue what they do in other stadiums. Hell they even travel well against Dallas and in Dallas they make noise when the Cowboys have the ball.
Bears, Seahawks, eagles fans travel well, especially when they are doing well. Live with it gents.

ps. You guys see the World Series tonight? How many Red sox fans were there? a SHIT TON! This isn't just isolated to the Rams. No huge amount of fan base goes to Philly, Boston, New York, Chicago why? Because they are shit locations, LA is where these fan bases go for a real vacation and happen to catch their team. Facts are your friends not food everybody!

You have to realize that when season tix went on Sale when Rams relocated to LA, anyone could call in, leave a $100 deposit to get their tix. I personally know 6 individuals from the Southland that purchase Tix each season and they aren't Ram fans. They go to a game occasionally but sell the seats to most of the games regardless of what team is in town to play the Rams. IMO, a high percentage of season seats are NOT owned by Ram fans.

My big screen hdtv experience was better than the coliseum, I guarantee it. However, if I owned season tix and I still lived in LA, there is no way I wouldn’t be there for the best games.

It is embarrassing to see Aaron Rodgers Waving his hands to get the crowd stirred up, in LA., and it’s sad to hear our HC saying he was “surprised” at the noise level when our offense was trying to make plays. McVay is a pretty positive guy, but I could tell that talking about enemy fan noise in our house, was like taking a big unexpected bite of a shyte sandwich.

Because not enough of the 13.1 million people in the LA care enough about the Rams and only the Rams to show up for 7 games a year?

What was the total attendance in the coliseum yesterday?
